Spokane Ute has written several comments and they all say the same thing...

By the way, even if offensive pass interference isn't called much... The penalty was there... It was obvious... The aggie corner was on the ground... And as Ute44 stated it happens on both sides of the ball... Quit blaming the refs and accept that Utah was beaten... If Utah wants to win they shouldn't even let themselves get in that position.

"The Aggies should be thrilled. The Refs gave them the game on a silver platter. What a Homer Job!"

Care for some cheese to go along with that whine?

They were PAC 12 refs!

WHY would PAC 12 refs homer the Utes???

You're equating a 2-1 with NEVER being willing to play in Logan again?

Good game USU. BYU fans need to worry. I know I am. Let's not get cocky. We could beat both Utah and Utah State but we could lose to both of them too. Let's take care of WSU today and then we can start looking to the Utes.

O how the mighty Utes have fallen.

Less than two weeks into the season and already the Utes have been eliminated from WAC title contention. And, of course, they never really had a chance of winning the PAC title. After last night's dismal offensive performance, it's obvious, the Trojans will destroy the Utes.

USU 1-0 in the PAC 12
BYU 1-0 in the PAC 12
Utah 0-1 in the WAC

I'm not sure if I should laugh out loud or cry. A Ute fan for sure and disdain everything BYU past, present and future, but you have to hand it to the Aggies. Somebody got out coached and didn't have his team mentally prepared for this. Didn't they watch any of the Aggie games from last year? They're a pretty good program. Tighten up your belts, this is going to be an interesting game coming up next week.

Anyone who watched the Aggies the last two years would not be surprised by this win. Its a breakthrough win that carries weight but the Aggies who can play with any team can also lose to any team. The fans need to pack Romney stadium and be loud for the WAC teams as well as Utah. A great win that looked very good for USU on ESPN.

Congrats to the Aggies! BYU better not be looking past them. As for the Utes, tough luck on the penalty in the OT, but gotta hand it to the Aggies. Wish I'd seen the game. Not on the air in SoCal.

I hope BYU won't be thinking that they'll roll Utah next week. 54-10 should keep them focused. Oh, and lets not have an Appalachian State moment this week!

From ESPN

"It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12," said running back John White, held to 96 yards on 27 carries. "To lose to Utah State is horrible."

Wow! This is clear evidence that some Utes truly have gained a superiority complex.

Great game Utah St. Out here in Connecticut my friends were playing board games but I was glued to the TV. I'm looking forward to a great game in a month.

A couple of things:

First, that was a great game of football, regardless of which team you were rooting for. Exciting is an understatement. Best wishes to the Utes in the rest of your schedule. In all honesty, I hate to see a classy guy like Wynn go down, but y'all are in a better position I think with Hayes. BJ will learn, so don't give up on him. You lost a close game to a team that we in Cache Valley knew was going to be good all along.

Second, you BYU fans need to quit thumping your chests. This is OUR win. Nobody else's. (By "our," I mean the boys in Aggie Blue on the field.) BYU has not beaten anyone of any consequence yet, and believe me, we are coming for you. The Aggies have been down for a lot of years, and have a lot to prove. We will be out for blood.

Lastly, congratulations to the AGGIES of UTAH STATE! Excellent game plan, with a lot of heart and grit. I will be voting Chuckie Keeton for President. I believe we have turned another corner. I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!!!

Best of luck to all Utah-based teams when playing out-of-state competition. I hope Utah turns it around and does much better in the PAC 12 and at least equals pre-season expectations. Hope BYU dominates its independent schedule and shoots high up the rankings. Hope Utah State takes advantage of this start to go undefeated in the WAC. Would be great to surprise folks regarding the quality of football this year.

Steve Sarkisian and Washington are here today in my neck of the woods. The LSU Tigers could use a dose of humility that would come from a closer than expected game. Sure, the SEC is probably still the dominant league in the country, but it's not the only league.

I learned this week that USU's better than what I thought, BYU's as good as I thought, and Utah's about as average as I thought.

Everyone talks about Utah's defense holding UNC scoreless. Last year, an FCS team (Sacramento St.) held UNC scoreless and to 72 yards (!) of offense. There were also 5 FCS teams that scored more points on UNC than the 34 offensive points the Utes were able to score against them.

Jordan Wynn is an average QB. His arm looks about the same as last year. The INT he threw was a horribly thrown ball. The Utah O-Line also has some question marks. The Ute offense was ranked 107th last year, and I didn't see anything to suggest that would improve markedly this year.

Utah's defensive line is fantastic! Verdict is still out on LB's and secondary.

All in all, not too impressed by the Utes in the opener. I think USU will give them all they can handle this week, if not beat the Utes. I will be surprised if the Ute offense scores more than 21 points.

Not to toot my own horn, but the previous comment was one I made 4 days ago on the article titled "What We Learned from Week 1".

I don't know why there was so much hype around Utah this year. Their offense was horrible last year and the only thing that changed this year was replacing Norm Chow with a 25 year old offensive coordinator.

So it shouldn't be a surprise for their struggles out of the gate. Having said that, I respect K Whitt and have no doubts that he'll be able to turn the team around and get to a bowl game.

However, I have predicted since the beginning of the season that BYU beats Utah by 14+ this year, and I'm sticking by that prediction. I think there is also a serious chance that Utah goes 1-4 to start the season.

I feel really bad about Jordan Wynn. Hope he's ok, the poor guy can't catch a break! He's worked so hard to rehab and get ready for the season. I wish him all the best.

Aggies, great game, I'm nervous for October 5th.

Go Cougars!

This just means byu is 3rd best in utah, looks like USU gose 12-0, Utah 9-3, and BYU 7-5

DN please check your facts. The mighty utes, members of the most excellent pac-12 conference of champions, could not have lost to a WAC/MWC team. That would not happen to a team destined for the NC.

Scots,
Better let the lads actually play the game before you declare victory - as in Utah over USU.

Hey Aggie238 and others --

As a BYU fan, we're not trying to take anything away from your win; we're just rejoicing with you on your beatdown of a program that would deny and reject more than a 100 years of tradition and rivalry in your case, and nearly that much in ours. Mad props to USU in defeating the insufferable arrogance of the Utes and their "Conference of Chumpions."

We know that you're "coming for us" and we're happy to keep scheduling you. Every year.

Congrats again!

Cheer up Utes... while you were wallowing in your defeat the PAC 12 and Dish Network finally signed a deal today.

"...They are available in America’s Top 120+ package and above for customers in Pac-12 territory and available nationwide in the Multi-Sport Pack for $9 per month, according to the league. Note: The deal does NOT prohibit DirecTV from reaching agreement with Pac12Nets" --- San Jose Mercury News

While I will no longer taunt and torment you about satellite coverage, this 27-20 drubbing by the Aggies is a good substitute. LOL

"Utah is second best in state this year."
