Government fails math by not knowing how to budget our tax money, and creating a sixteen trillion dollar debt. That's $500,000 for every second in a year.

Now they want to control what our children eat? Hold students accountable for math test scores when they themselves can't do math?

As an elementary school teacher with a room next to the kitchen - I will miss the cinnamon rolls! Wow it made my room smell good! I loved the left-overs that the generous lunch ladies left in the faculty room for us after school.

Yes, we need to be healthier, but comfort food once in a while is healthy in another way.

Worf - There is nothing wrong with the school providing healthier lunches that contain less sugar/fat and more whole grain to students. Why am I not surprised that someone would complain about that?! If you don't like the healthier lunches they provide take have your child take their own lunch!!! They are not controlling anything. They are not forcing you or your child to eat anything. Pack your own sack lunch and fill it up with twinkies, donuts, hot dogs, and chocolate milk if you don't like it! So again.... explain to me how they are controlling what your children eat. Quit with the blame and take responsibility for yourself and your children.

Jeanie - I'm sure you are more than welcome to cook your own cinnamon rolls during school hours if you'd like. You are a teacher, right? You don't have to not have cinnamon rolls just because the school doesn't make them anymore. You are also more than welcome to make whatever you want at home. Have cinnamon rolls every morning for breakfast if that's what makes YOU feel good. With the obesity issues we have in this country, it boggles me as to why people would complain about having healthier food available to children.
