As the church continues to grow in Africa, it is time to start up church education opportunities for the African saints. The string of LDS schools throughout the Pacific islands and in Mexico have had a very positive impact on the Saints there. It is time for a similar effort to be made in Africa. With the Church College of New Zealand shutting down, this is a perfect place to invest the capitol that has been freed up. It is time to build a BYU-Africa.
This would be a huge educational and spiritual boost for the African saints. It would also be a huge PR boost for the Church. It would also be a very good thing for Mitt Romney, Harry Reid, and any other LDS politician, helping remove a big distraction. Due to cheaper construction costs, it would probably only take $4-5 million to purchase an entire campus in Africa, a much better investment for the church educational system.
I encourage everyone to support this inspired venture.
Not bad for a Church whose detractors claim is racist against Blacks.......
