"It is sad commentary that a hate movie, deeply rooted to the same kind of propagandistic lies practiced in Europe during WW II"

Really? Isn't that a bit melodramatic?

You forget the other vapid left wing talking points of labeling all dissent as being "racist" and a "war on women"; because we all know that politically incorrect speech must be deemed hate speech and silenced immediately, otherwise the left wing fantasy world would immediately collapse under the weight of its own hypocrisy.

I really don't get you liberals. Don't you want prosperity? I worked for Novell for 18 years and the CEO (Ray Noorda) was worth about 250 million. Ray was a GREAT CEO and because of his great business sense thousands of Utah residents had high paying careers for 20+ years. Novell's success made all sorts of other success's happen from education to spinning off other small business's. What is it with liberals that makes them despise success? What good does unemployment do? What good does thousands on food stamps do? Do you people really want socialist Europe? Do you want bankruptcy and despair? Holy smokes enough is enough. George Washington was VERY wealthy for his day - do you despise Washington because of his wealth? Stop equating wealth to something evil and bad. I think most Americans actually WANT a competent, successful man as president. Success breeds more success. How many people that you know that have lived under communist rule actually praise the wonderful prosperity that communism affords? ZERO!!! The wealth redistribution garbage breeds failure and misery in the end - EVERY TIME. Wake up and know your history. Please!!!

To "Truthseeker" you claim to seek the truth, but fail to recognize it when it is presented:

    1. See Forbes article "CBO: Obamacare Will Spend More, Tax More, and Reduce the Deficit Less Than We Previously Thought". Obamacare has gone from $944 billion estimate to a $1,856 billion estimate by 2012.

    2. The Republicans during the Bush administration attempted to reign in the banks, but Democrats Barny Frand and Chriss Dodd stopped the bills from leaving committee.

    3. Actually they would have. What wouldn't have survived the bailout was the UAW.

    4. Actually jobs didn't hit rock bottom until September 2010 when total non-farm jobs hit their low of 129885000 jobs (according to the BLS). If the recession was over in June 2009, why is it that jobs didn't start to come back for 4 months, then they have just trickled in and have not met population growth?

    5. Wrong again, according to the Status of Forces Agreement signed by Bush in November 2008, troops had to leave Iraq by December 2011. Bush did concern himself with troop withdrawal after all.

    6. Bush era policies on interrogation is what led to Bin Laden.

#1 Not true. ACA costs are not more than projected, Republicans have distorted(lied) about what the report actually stated. From factcheck: “Looking strictly at the CBO's analysis of the budget effect of the health care law, it is a deficit-reducer, both in the short and long term.”

#2 Name-calling? Very mature. Did Republicans put forth a bill to break up the big banks? Have they proposed any regulation to prevent a repeat of the fiscal crisis?

#3 GM/Chrysler wouldn't have survived without a bailout. According to the judge who presided over Chrysler's bankruptcy in 2009, the company would not have survived without the bailout.

#4 Stimulus passed Feb. 2009. End of the recession, June 2009, but jobs didn't bottom out until Dec. 2009. At the beginning of 2010, jobs began to be added. 128 Republican House legislators were proud to take credit for the stimulus jobs in their districts they did not vote for.

#5 The Democrats, including Obama, pushed for troop withdrawal long before Bush did.

#6 Bush disbanded the Bin Laden unit. For 8 yrs Bush had the opportunity to find and eliminate Bin Laden. He did not.

    Truthseeker,

Signed a healthcare reform law - that was contrary to his promises, costs more than projected, was passed only after buying off senators, and based on enough lies to let Pinnochio touch the moon, and was opposed by the majoroity of the population

Passed/signed Wall Street Reform - dudd-frank does not qualify, does not address toobigtofail, and stiffles finance rather than regulates it

Recapitalized Banks – nope, TARP did that

Rescued American automakers – nope, GM and Chrysler still went BK, as mitt said they should.

Signed a stimulus bill which halted the shedding of jobs and began to grow the economy. – nope, according to the NYT, only $28.5 B of the $700B package had been spent by May 5, 2009 and the recession ended in June 2009 – it was not the porkulus, but TARP.

Ended the war in Iraq – under the timetable and criteria bush set. BO was negotiating to stay longer

Eliminated Bin Laden – using techniques bush established, that BO said he would discontinue

    DADT was a Clinton policy

If all this is so wonderful, why is his campaign focused on “killing Romney” rather than touting his accomplishments?

To "Hemlock" I sure hope the film is correct. All they did was to read Obama's own book, then go to those locations to speak with people who knew Obama's father or other people mentioned in Obama's book.

If the film portrays lies, then Obama's book is full of lies.

KJB 1 I did read the article. The movie claims Obama's father was mostly non existent in his life. Then claims his politics was heavily influenced by his father. Which is it. You can't have it both ways. I don't hate Obama. I don't support him either. The far right is motivated by hate. Tune in Hannity or Limbaugh. I guarantee within three seconds you will hear Obama's name. There is no doubtt in my mind they truly hate him. I fear Romney does to and that dissapoints me. I have never seen our nation so divided and politics so partisan. I blame both parties and talk radio is behind a lot of it. Recently Sean Hannity was spouting off about how the left is guilty of being uncivil. A minute later his guest referred Vice President Biden as an old Geezer. What a hypocrite. One has to wonder what is behind it. I fear it goes beyond partisan politics. Draw your own conclusions.

I actually hadn't heard about this movie until I saw this article (probably because Deseret news is the only anti-Obama newspaper I read). Anyway, after doing a little research I found that it is probably not a good idea to compare this to a Michael Moore film. Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" has an 85% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and this film has a 45% rating. While it would be interesting to see what this film maker has to say about our president, films with such low ratings are guaranteed to be done poorly.

KJB I did read the article about the Muddy Facts. Very informative. The movie claims Obama's father was mostly non existent in his life. Then claims Obama's father was a huge influence on his political philosophy. Which is it? You can't have it both ways. I am a not an Obama supporter. I just don't hate the man. Tune in Limbaugh or Hannity and I guarantee you will Obama's name within five seconds. The far right hates Obama. For the first time in American history we have a president who is not a white caucasian. I just can't wonder why people hate him so much. They say it is his policies. I think it goes beyond policies and politics . Draw your own conclusions. The politics of fear and hate are taking over this country. I hold both parties equally responsible. We are a divided nation. Why does everything have to be us vs them. I am mostly dissapointed in Mitt Romney. I actually hoped his campaign would take a higher road. Instead it is politics as usual.

It is too bad this President doesn't see whatthe impact of his policies or lack of policies have done to a nation. It is a shame the Congress, Representatives and Senators, allowed their quick actions on some things and no actions on more important life issues have brought people to make a movie like this. The President lowered the Office of the President of the United States of America when he started speaking down to us as citizens and that our ideas and suggestions were for naught as he knew better. This is not a Kingdom and for about 3 centuries, people have done well with developing the process that has been in place for that time. Presidents are not kings and thankfully don't have the power to wave their staff and make things law. The system works and as with Czars of the past their edict to other government officials don't make things better since they are not empowered by law only by financing through the President's plan.

We are a nation by the people and for the people not for a select few and those that subvert the US Constitutional principles of government.

Look at the main page of Yahoo right and you'll find the Associated Press article "Anti-Obama film muddy on facts." I won't copy it here, but it sums up how often the film leaps to conclusions based of half-truths (the bust of Churchill was scheduled to be returned to Britain before Obama even took office) or no evidence at all (Never mind killing Bin Laden and the drone strikes. Obama is still "weirdly sympathetic to Muslim jihadists.")

Not that that'll have any effect on those determined to hate Obama no matter what, but still, it's worth reading.

So I suspect that all those who complain about Michael Moore films have seem them as well. Or those who complained about the makers of "south park" Broadway play, they all saw the movie before they commented as well.. We are all using the same standard here - correct. "Conservatives" don't comment on things they haven't seen therefor setting the precedent that commnets should not be made on things you haven't seen yourself..... right?

It is funny how easy it is to call the other side out for what both sides do. It is just that one side feels justified, the other are hypocrites

t was nice to come out of church on Sunday and find little flyers for this movie littering all the cars in the parking lot.

I wouldn't waste the money to see a movie about a presidential candidate during an election no matter which party he was from.

So what has this radical president done while in office?

Signed a healthcare reform law based on a plan that originated from Republicans like Mitt Romney and conservative think tanks.
    Passed/signed Wall Street Reform
    Recapitalized Banks
    Rescued American automakers.
Signed a stimulus bill which halted the shedding of jobs and began to grow the economy.
    Ended the war in Iraq.
    Eliminated Bin Laden.
    Repealed "Don't Ask Don't Tell"
Signed Lily Lidbetter Equal Pay Act

    to name a few.

Just another attempt by Republicans to frame Obama as the "other" a foreign, un-American president, while lauding their candidate who has money stashed in the Cayman Islands who won't even release tax returns.

Only one difference, this blockbuster will feature the epic story of the out of touch Republican candidate, and his numerous mansions full of financial and unethical mysteries.

I saw this movie today. It is very informative and FYI is also scripted from Obama's own words. So how can that be called hate speech? The commentary is the informative part and very well researched with the truth and source of the ideology of Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. The book titled, "Dreams From My Father," are just that.

If anyone would take the time to listen and hear what they SEE, they would understand the deep feelings of BHO, SR. The son has followed those things to the letter.

The author, Danesh D'Souza, from East India has more or less uncovered the truth behind what was stated in the book. The movie is narrated by Barry himself so how it can be called hate speech is beyond me.

IT is a must to see it and understand where and why this President's intent is to take the USA.

    Are Obama’s early records “sealed”?
No. Many records that presidential candidates don’t ordinarily release do remain confidential, but they are not “sealed” by a court. The 16 claims in a widely distributed graphic are mostly false or distorted.

    "social security number inconsistencies"

Rumors about Obama's SSN began circulating in 2010 alleging that the number belonged to a deceased man who immigrated to the U.S. from France and resided in Hawaii. That proved to be fiction. This sparked additional inquires as to why Obama's SSN began with 042, the three digit classification for Connecticut. According to the SSA, "The Area Number is assigned by the geographical region. Prior to 1972, cards were issued in local Social Security offices around the country and the Area Number represented the State in which the card was issued. This did not necessarily have to be the State where the applicant lived, since a person could apply for their card in any Social Security office."

As BYUAlum said, "Very thought provoking indeed. A must see if you love this country. Any liberal without clear vision won't like this movie. You have to have eyes to see and ears to hear!"

But with a few words changed, his comment could also apply to the Michael Moore movies that were so detested by conservatives -- most of whom I'll bet never went to see any of them. Have you seen the entire movie prior to making this post? Y or N?

What specifically about this movie equates to propaganda other than your opinion?

Have you done any objective open minded independent research of your own to either validate or to disprove the majority of points/issues/questions raised in this film?

What specifically qualifies this movie as "a hate movie"? What makes you privy to the thoughts and intents of this movie's writers?

What specifically are the propagandist lies contained in this movie?

Accusations & emotionally charged, inflammatory verbiage and cliche's add little to this discussion especially when they are not supported by objective facts. Obama has gone to great lengths/spent millions to keep his college transcripts, his admissions to college, his published writings as a member of Harvard Law Review, his selective service card abnormalities and his social security number inconsistencies sealed up and hidden. For a president who preached transparency as a candidate, as President, Obama has been anything but transparent.
