Please, please, Deseret News Headline Editor. Can you please, for the sake of fairness, come up with another Headline other than "GOP Activist?" GOP Activist isn't a profession the last time I checked, and you keep repeating the story with a key element being that this alleged rapist was a wannabe GOP power broker.
It's smear, and is eerily similar to what the Democrats are doing all over the country with the Todd Atkin "legitimate" rape comment. Now every GOP candidate all over the country (per the Democratic National Committee and their allies in the state-run media), has to "disavow" themselves from the Atkin comment, including Romney.
But somehow, the Democrats always get a pass... Where's the call for Democrats to disavow Joe Biden's completely over the top "They wanna put y'all back in chains" comment alluding to slavery?
The media double-standard is galling. Enough already.
Defense attorneys doing what they do best- delay, delay, change the subject, blame the victims, etc.
Okay, society can play that waiting game, and usually (but not always) justice will eventually prevail. The flip side of that is that the defendant ends up paying legal bills forever.
My thoughts and prayers go out the the victims who will be forced to relive their ordeals over and over again.
. . . . and justice for all.
(At least for those who have money and powerful friends.)
