Can higher education beat unemployment?

    Unemployment doesn't seem to be a problem for people moving in from the Phillipines, China, and India.

    No child left behind, standardized testing, high funding, and accountability, just isn't cutting it.

    Although it is one of the safer bets that you can exchange a degree for a good job, the benefits of higher education rarely talked about are good reasons to pursue a degree. There are many experiences that can offer these benefits, not just a college education, but a college education is pretty good at expanding a student's personal philosophies and creativity. It also widens a student's network of relationships, teaches them how to live on their own, and in some cases lights a fire in students that becomes their life long pursuit in a particular field.
