Ben McAdams is a great guy. I'm definitely voting for him.
George W. Bush was a great guy too. Being a great guy doesn't mean you should vote for him.
When will the DN start running articles about how wonderful Republican candidates are? Every two/four years we get an article like this for Jim Matheson and for whoever the Democrat is for Salt Lake County Mayor. Meanwhile, the DN rips apart their Republican counterparts. Is a little consistent journalism too much to ask?
An Eagle Scout and not an Eagle Forum is a good phrase for a person that has learned you have to lead and compromise to get things done.
The President should learn that type of process as he would be a leader if he learned to compromise.
I didn't know that mayors are party people since they don't declare party affiliation, per se. However, in Utah, the City Council are the real voters on real issues and the may can be and is usually part of the process.
Working with Mayor Becker, a Democrat, and at the same time working with Chris Buttars the hard one as a Republican on the same issue and coming to was significant for that specific issue.
When elected, you bring in good people to assist and advise to be able to work with the City Council in partnerships that are beneficial.
