Why should Mitt release his taxes when Obama has hidden his entire life from the press.

College transcripts, high school transcripts, multiple social security numbers. Military, etc.

Obama is just better throwing mud. Romney has run a company, and has business experience. Obama wrote two(?) books.

Mitt is a modern day Richard Nixon. He has plenty to hide. He needs to release his taxes or he is toast.

Mr. Romney is failing the likability and trust test. He better figure it out and do it soon or this race will be a route, regardless of the economy Obama-Care or anything else. Mr. Romney has no legal obligation to release his taxes, but if he doesn't the Dems are going to bring it up about every two weeks and the lack of trust in Mr. Romney will continue to increase.

Mitt Romney has never flunked the likability and trust/truth test. He has passed those tests throughout his life. That is the hard part for the Chicago group to understand. Every time they try to find some problem in his life, they have to muddy the water with some partial truths. Anything that people say and do to deceive another is a lie. Through the various sources of the media, national and international plus the local press, play the game also and highlight something that someone has said to bring mud and even a whirlpool and torrent into the picture. It doesn't have to be the truth and with those that vote and others the don't vote but want to discredit someone, don't care where the source comes from that discredits someone on false information. They are just hoping that the people on the street, such as those that Jay Leno interviews won't know anything to start with or if they heard a story that they will remember that and not do their homework. We still have the best system and unfortunately a lot of the people will vote for a person who misled others.

People want Mitt to release his taxes, even though there is not a requirement to do so. If there was an actual problem, Harry Reid would have stated that. Instead he just implied that Mitt Romney hadn't paid taxes for 10 years. If he hadn't paid taxes for 10 years, really not paid taxes, the IRS would be the one stating that to Mr. Romney, not a political Senate puppet that puts out what the President wants him to put out. This is a Chicago group plan, not medical group plan, to throw water at Mr. Romney so they can then throw mud on anything else. It is pre-convention politics from Chicago's finest, just like the Chic-Filet story last week. That Chicago group is grasping at straws to make a news day as they don't want the really important national news to make the headline or just news. The President has 10,000 other vital topics to address for our country and he is not towing the line for our nation. He wants to not bring up those important things as he has not succeeded with them for 3 1/2 years plus Senate.

Key facts missing from these National Polls. Skewed numbers created by polling imbalances not accounted for. Why? Most polls are lazy. Example: These polls all poll California at 12.1% of the entire poll maybe more. Only 30% of California is Republican. A under represented total of the U.S. population. Democrats are polled at 66% of the California number. Based on 100% outcome. Of 100 respondents 9 are Democrat and 3 are Republican. Though Nationally the actual percentages should be 40%-40% in the sample basically. So Republicans are undercounted by 1% and Democrats are over sampled by 3% Nationally just because of California. This is why these polls are not reliable. The last set of polls that came out minus Rassmussen were over polling Democrats by as much as 11%. That skews the actual numbers as does registered voters vs. likely voters.

Additionally, one of the most expert pollsters Dick Morris(Democrat) polled 6,000 in his sample. The results are nowhere near the same. His margin of error is not +/-4-5% it's less than .25% error rate. 4-5% +3%+1%=8-9% error! California's a given so California skews the National total.

Obama has refused to release his information (transcripts, voting record in Illinois) does that make him dishonest?

What the american people should do when the pollsters call is hang up on them as I do. They have a set list of numbers to call and they can't alter the list or it alters the results they are looking for. Hang up on pollster, they are fakers and fixers of lies and misinformation.

Most poll question are ambiguous based on misdirection and misinformation so I say hang up, put them out of business. The only vote that counts is the one cast in the voting booth and all these polls are meaningless meant to spread lies.

I have also been wondering if the President can legally use government workers as employees for his campaigning? Other than the Secret Service it is "illegal" for the president to use federal workers as campaign volunteers or employees. It is also illegal, for federal workers (even spys) to be directly involved in campaigns or work for politicians during a campaign.

It's most likely Obama is using spy agency's illegally to investigate and create false evidence for opponent or candidate running against him. The dirt from Obama sure seems like spy agency innuendos and what if scenarios.

How many times does it have to be said? Nobody, including Harry Reid, is claiming Mitt Romney broke the law. They are just making the case that wealthy people have "legal" ways of hiding their income that the average Joe doesn't. So it turns out that despite all the hyperbolic whining done by the super rich about their high tax rates, many of them pay less (percwentage wise) than the average wage earner (think of Warren Buffet's admission). If Mr. Romney's tax returns show that, then it would be even more difficult for him to make the case, as he is currently doing, that taxes should be even lower for the wealthy than they are today. That is the point that is being made, not that he is doing anything illegal but that the system is rigged to favor folks with his income who make money the way he does. That's all.

SLars - what you are missing is precedent. When MItt's own father set the bar for transparency in making sure the voters knew where his wealth came from. We currently have a crises in confidence in Wall Street, where the average American has no trust for the people who run that system. Mitt Romney is a product of that system. This does not mean he has done nothing wrong. But when you come from a system the is famous for corruption, manipulation, and not serving the public interest, it makes sense that question will be raised.

Obama came from being a professor of Law at University of Chicago. Yes, there are those who don't trust academics, this is a known fact. But there are far fewer who perceive they have been hurt, or the country manipulated out of billions of dollars of tac payer money by college professors. That can't be said for Bankers.

Romney may have nothing to hide, just a Obama had nothing to hide his birth certificate. But just like the birth certificate, the questions are not going to go away.

America will re-elect Obama and then watch unemployment rise to 15% and ask - what the "bleep" just happened???? If you don't fear for your future ... and your children's future you either aren't paying attention or you simple aren't smart enough to understand in the first place. When economic panic starts to set in I think it will get peoples attention but it will be far to late to do anything about it at that point. Our national debt is nearly 16 trillion and is set to hit 20 trillion under Obama. What happens when those that lend to us raise the interest rate they lend to us at ... dramatically? That day is fast approaching within the next 2 years according to Paul Ryan. How many people in this country have ANY idea what disaster is about to hit them when those interest rates spike into the teens? Think about your home or car or student loans going from 5% to 15%. Think about the impact on business - mass layoffs and cut backs. Yes - it's called GREECE!!!

If memory serves, most polls in 2000 showed Clinton leading Dole in the NY/NJ area by something like a 53 to 39% margin. an Ironically, Clinton won by a similar margin?

Obama's school transcripts are missing. He refuses to release them. His voting record in the legislature is missing, where did it go? And what about him having multiple social security cards?

Obama gives us a lot to worry about.

Obama and his campaign attack dogs such as Ben Labolt, Stephanie Cutter, David Axelrod etc.. are masters at distorting the truth and not telling the whole story. Stephanie Cutter said that she had never talked to Joe Soptic who is in the Priorities USA ad. Well apparently she is lying because in May of this year she heard his whole story from a conference call she had with him. They are still taking about the closing of GST Steel by Bain Capital. GST Steel would have closed its doors in 1993,however because of Bain they lasted 8 more years so Joe should thank Bain for giving him 8 more years of employment. Also his wife died in 2006 and she had health insurance. Obama talks about everyone paying their fair share. Well I guess he has never looked at the Tax Policy Analysis' IRS data which shows that the top 1% pay over 40%. of our income taxes. He has also never told us why Solyndra, Ener 1 and other companies who contributed to his campaign were fast tracked to receive loans only to go bankrupt. Obama, your spin stops here!!
