I think SC would be much better if it wasn't for all the parent interference. Ok, to be fair I'm assuming it's parent interference that causes all the coaching turnover. CV has only had 3 coaches in its life (3 years younger than SC) and Snow Canyon has had 4, but 2 of them have had 2 separate times that they coached. SC has had 5 coaching changes to CV's 2. Not only that but when Jacobson left PV for SC at the start of the 94 season SC has had 6 different head coaches (2 of them twice like I previously said) and PV has had 3. To be fair Hosner has been dominant. Moral of the story, SC...let your coaches coach, and let them coach for a little longer...you might get more championships that way.
In response to sky2k1, the fine parents of Snow Canyon High School students would be the first to admit their passion and enthusiasm for school activities, including sports, is often obsessive. For sky2k1 to assume that parent interference has been the cause of all the coaching turnover is laughable. sky2k1 is obviously basing assumption on the activities in 2008 surrounding one coach, which admittedly was small town and short-sighted. However, to throw all other staff changes into the same bucket is uncalled for, especially without intimate knowledge of the events. sky2k1 brings this up often, and I tire of reading it. To quote sky2k1's comment regarding judgement of a southern Utah sports coach: "[SCHS Parents are] human and makes mistakes, just like the rest of us. You disgust me for judging [them] like this when you don't even know [them]. Good luck coach" 8:27 p.m. Feb. 16, 2011.
