Grand County (that is the Moab area for those that do not know) has been charging for rescues for a couple of decades. It is time for the rest of the State to do so as well. These rescues not only put the hikers in harms way, but they put the rescuers in harms way as well. There needs to be a penalty for doing dumb things and needing to be rescued.
