They ALL deny they'll accept the VP office if it is offered to them...of course, until one of them actually has the position offered to him or her and then they almost always say "yes" - irrespective of what they've publicly said earlier. This is politics 101 and hardly news.
He's too valuable to be VP. He is going to be Romney's Secretary of Defense.
So when it's detrimental to Obama, Carney say's we should be mindful of the source, but when it helps him (Harry Reid's source on Romney not paying taxes), apparently any source is credible.
This fundraiser is probably the same source that Reid claims told him that "Romney hasn't paid taxes in 10 years." - another fictional character
David Petraeus does a great job stealing others ideas and taking credit for it. I am not impressed with him. He can be credited for being one of the first 3-4 star conventional generals to integrate the SF doctrine and an old Marine manual into a failing peace, but nothing further.
The "Petraeus counter-insurgency theories" are just water-downed versions of the successful operations the U.S. Special Operations has been conducting in Columbia and PI.
If he can get us to a win, I would rather have him at vp, and Tet Nugget at sec of def.
The anomalous "little bird" seems to be tweeting to one ear to another.
Carney says to be mindful of your sources when asked about Petraeus. He probably should give that advice to Comrade Reid, the administrations current lap dog!
