Served in Ecuador. Everything you said is exactly right. Agree with J-TX, Amen. And Amen.

I really hope that nobody judges the LDS Church and, especially, its missionaries by Mitt. We deserve so much better a repute than that.

I have a son serving in Lima Peru right now, and I KNOW he feels the same about his mission today. Thank you Jason for helping let the world know what LDS missions are.

Thank you, Jason, for sharing. I have nephews who have recently served missions. They loved the people whom they served. I get letters from them weekly. They share the joy that they feel when they witness people change their lives for the better and are much happier.

I served a mission in a small Asian country where poverty was rampant and the language alone humbled me greatly. Today, there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about those people with whom I was blessed to serve for two years, the best years of my life!

No mention of Troll 2? C'mon man, that HAS to be on your list of accomplishments! I'm not being sarcastic. Seriously, you were part of something epic there.

To Furry: Were you in France with Mr. Romney? Did he share his deep emotions with you? Are you perfect? While I loved my mission, I didn't do as good a job as I should have. However, what I learned there has blessed my life unbelievably. I'm sure Mr. Romney's mission has blessed him. "Judge not......"

Coming up on 37 years for me Jason and I still treasure my time in Central America.
Learning a second language has blessed my life in countless ways. Not to mention that I have hundreds of friendships that I wouldn't have if I didn't speak Spanish. After being released recently I realized that I would never have met the people that I was serving had I not had the opportunity to learn Spanish.

Your stories about crazy moments in your mission brought back memories of some of my own. And put a smile on my face.
Thanks Jason!
