Laziness. Disengagement. Failure to launch.
I suspect their expectations of success are overinflated. I am amazed at how many young people think that once they marry they should immediately get into a house they can't afford, have had a vehicle that was paid for by mommy and daddy, and have never had a minimum wage job before.
A wise church leader a few years back stated that the current generation of young people may be the first in 100+ years to have LESS than their parents enjoyed, rather than more. With the Great Recession we are currently still experiencing, his words have proven to be correct.
