Herriman has a strong team this year...especially on defense. The defense boasts 4 Division I prospects, 8 returning starters and 10 returning letterwinners. The defensive backfield is the best in Region 7, probably the best in 4A and may be the best in the state! The linebacking corp is solid and the only questions will be the 3 young defensive linemen.
Although the offense lost some key players from last year, it still boasts the same 4 Division I prospects from the defense, 6 returning starters and 10 returning letterwinners. The QB/TB tandem of Lupeamanu and Bernard is still in place. The receiving corp has bulked and has a returning starter at TE and has added 2 big WR to the receiving corp who are also starters on defense.
I expect Herriman to run the table in Region 7 and to also get key wins vs Riverton and Highland. Don't be surprised if Herriman is 10-0 going into the playoffs. Look for Herriman to make it to Rice-Eccles along with Logan, Timpview and East.
