The problem with him "proving" that he had no contact with Bain after 1999 comes from the fact that, if true, he wasn't truthful on documents and in testimony circa 2002. The documents were filing for the SEC and, most likely, made under penalty of perjury. He can't have it both ways. He either had no contact or influence with Bain, in which case he perjured himself, or he hasn't been truthful in his campaign rhetoric, which would (or should) cause him BIG problems with his run for President.

It really looks like he's between a rock and a hard ploce.

WHILE Romney is running from Bain like a scalded cat and is not talking about this at all, and, the GOP are to busy to bring it up in Congress, and just sit back and watch the RNC as it rearranges events on Tampa social calendar, I'll bring it up. They call it Pakistan's melting pot. Karachi, estimated to be home to over 18 million people, is the Islamic Republic's largest and perhaps most cosmopolitan city. But if anti-Americanism is rife in Pakistan, which currently faces the lowest point of its fractious relationship with the United States, then it is manifested, physically, almost every week in Karachi more so than in any other city in Pakistan. But many rallies end in the same way, the burning of an American flag. And we American's should not get angry?. But when Terry Jones the senior pastor of Dove World Outreach Center in Gainsville, Florida, the author of book Islam Is of the Devil, who first lit a spark on Facebook when he talked about it, then got in the news after his burning of a Koran, they get angry at us?.

Republicans picked a lemon and now they are stuck with him. If the issue is not Bain, it is hiding money and not disclosing tax returns. But those may be better issues to be butting heads over than his time of Govenor when his state had poor job growth and he left office with a 33% approval rating.
Romney's only attribute is he is not Obama but as more of the electorate takes a look at him Obama gains in the polls.

If Romney's own testimony incriminates him (as it has) then he must accept the label of being a liar and a sleaze, right?

Either he was working for Bain when they created jobs,in which case, he was working there when they sent jobs overseas. This supposedly happened in the same time period. Or, he was not working for Bain at that time and only working on the olympics. According to the securities and exchange comission (SEC), fraud (falsifying documents) is a felony. If he was not working for Bain at that time he comitted fraud. Romney can't have it both ways. Did he work there past 1999 and shipped American jobs overseas or did he falsify documents with the SEC? As CEO and 100% owner of Bain Capitol until 2002, Romney is responsible for the operations of Bain Capitol at that time.

While Mitt was creating jobs with Bain, Obama by his own words was enthusiastically drinking, taking drugs, and skipping classes.

You're wrong Americans have picked many poor leaders over the years and will do so again. Obama's strategy is similar to 2008 when he ran on the platform of not being a Republican, offerng hope and change. Seems this time the hope and change thing won't work but not being a Republican still provides him a solid chance for success. Especially when the Republicans are offering one of the worst national candidates since Barry Goldwater. Outside of Utah, Romney is not liked. Look no further than the one state public office he did hold and left with a 33% approval rating. That's G.W. territory, and not providing much hope for the boys in the corporate offices.

Wait a minute... Even though Obamas's possession and use of illegal drugs (as he recounts in his book) was a felonious act, remember, it occurred long ago... and it occurred in Chicago where illegal activity is often overlooked as acceptable conduct. You don't have to be squeaky clean if you hail from Chicago. Give him a break. Besides which, he's a minority, accordingly gets an automatic pass on illicit conduct.

I think is says something about how great America is where a felon from Chicago can actually be elected president... and is likely to do it for a second term. Viva America!

We have already gone over Obama's use of illegal drugs, which makes him an unindicted felon. Do we need to bring this up again now?

Pres. Obama was never Championing, Parading about and Showcasing his entire political campaign on Drug enforcement now was he?

Therein lies the difference.

But you can see it, can you....

Romney's problem is that he is not playing offense so he is stuck playing defense.

He needs to be running oppo ads (or a PAC on his behalf) on Obama's gaffes (57 states) and lies, misdeeds like Solyndra and beyond, and lack of leadership due to his lack of experience before taking office.

Mr. Nice Guy is not going to win playing fair with Chicago machine political thugs.

Silly posters.

Go to factcheck.org and do your homework before you post your partisan comments.

Rock and a hard place? Hardly...The allegations are just a desperate move by a campaign that cannot run on its record.

Criticize...but do it honestly!

Counter Intelligence - "Working at Bain, making money or even outsourcing jobs are not crimes are they."

So thats the new standard you are running with CI? Abortion is not a crime, yet you waste no effort trumpeting your opinions about those who are pro-choice. Again, your hypocrisy shows when defending something you support.

Romney violated SEC rules, or he lied. There is no other option. The fact that you support either result simply because Romney is the target speaks volumes about you.

Romney brags what a smart business man he is and a the same time he wants the public to believe he had no interest or concern of what was going on with a multi million dollar business he owned because he was occupied in SLC with the Olympics. Is he saying he can't multi-task or command surrogates even when it means millions to him. It is too hard to believe. If true he would not make a vey good president because the president has to keep a bunch of balls balanced in the air at the same time.

The Doofus Defense

R. Allen Stanford (Ponzi Schemer) tried to use the defense he didn’t know what was happening within the company he owned and controlled. He was sentenced to 110 years in prison.

Ken Lay (CEO Enron) tried to use the defense he didn't know what was going on at Enron. He was also sent to prison.

Now Mitt is trying the Doofus Defense: Elect me because I didn't know my own company was outsourcing jobs like crazy. It will be interesting to see how it works out for him.
