It would be helpful for Mr. Crockett to offer some kind of specifics about exactly what it is he wants to do differently as the new mayor of Salt Lake County. So far we're not seeing that.
I know this won't jive with the DesNews' position on the race but I have met and interacted with both Mark Crockett and Ben McAdams in several different instances and would in an instant vote for Ben McAdams over Mark Crockett. Ben McAdams has a sincere desire to help people to better their lives and is humbled by the opportunity whereas Mr Crockett, while fully capable, in my sense is much more focused on himself and self aggrandizement. Nothing against Mr Crockett as most politicians are mostly in it for themselves but as a Republican who has had the opportunity to konw both men I will be voting for Ben McAdams in this one.
I wasn't particularly happy about either Winder or Crockett, so I didn't really care.
Crockett was my County Council representative before Jani Iwomoto. Frankly, he was awful! He was more of a "pretty boy" than a concerned and involved representative. Sure, he showed up at meetings, but...
At least now I know, for sure, who I am voting for!
