Beautiful story. No doubt the Lord had his hand in their conversion and prepared them well for the work he had in mind for them. Thanks for sharing. "And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy...in the kingdom of my Father." That blessed soul that facilitated what led to these brothers conversion in the first place is undoubtedly very elated and experiencing much unspeakable joy.
I love to put the LDS faith and its teachings in front of those who are seeking a faith. That is when they are in the best position to comprehend some pretty incredible concepts that are unique to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
Awesome story! thanks for sharing
I am always touched by the Spirit when I read such stories. The contrast is stark between these stories where people read the Book of Mormon continually in their lives with those who lose their testimonies following cessation of their reading and study. When some say that they have come to know that the Book of Mormon is not true, I think of how for me each and every page screams out at me that it is true. The breadth and depth of the true gospel is so significant that no one man could have made it up and kept it all straight, unless that man is Jesus Christ, who didn't really make it up. But He keeps it straight in principal. There is nothing that those who have turned away have read that I have not read and there is no story about modern prophets I have not heard. But for me those distractions have nothing to do with the personal revelations and spiritual validations that I receive from my Savior and His Father each and every day of my life. Bless these families for their service. The Church is true!
What an awesome story! David was one of my professors at Brigham Young University, and he is one of the most impressive people I have ever met.
