Hello - I'm confused... Are these "pets" or "livestock"? While I certainly have no problem with helping save the lives of innocent animals - It would be rather peculiar to donate money to "save" them only to have them killed at an other time. That wouldn't make much sense now would it?

As I understand there are dozens of sanctuaries that are in desperate need of funds - Not only during disasters, but throughout the year as well... The great thing about donating to them is that you know the cows, pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits, geese and ducks won't ever be killed... Let alone killed for "profit".

I don't know... Does any nonhuman guardian call their companions "livestock"? And can 20,000 sheep that are used as commodities really be "pets"?
