Kudos to these young men, and a fine young man I met over the weekend who is
very instrumental in building youth rugby in Utah: Matt Wunderli, All-American
played at UofU. Matt has helped coordinate this tournament, build the youth
leagues in Utah, worked to publicize the Uruguay v Eagles game a couple of years
ago at Rio Tinto, coaches the Skyline team. Unsung heroes abound in
Rugby...congrats to all the players at this tournament, thanks to Matt and the
others who are making a difference in these young men's lives.
Great article! Great stories from these young men.
BYU Rugby should be there with hat in hand !
You failed to mention Lagi Setu and Jordan Rapana, both of whom have given up
Professional Rugby contracts to serve Missions in the England Birmingham
Mission. Elder Setu is still serving, after leaving the "Brisbane
Broncos." Jordan Rapana gave up his contract with the "old Coast
Titans" for a Mission, has completed that, and is now playing professionally
for the "Western Force"in Australia. Both were great players,
and both have been very successful Missionaries.
