Why is only the SLC council allowed to vote on spending taxes of everyone in the state? Shouldn't there be a state wide vote from all the citizens when it comes to spending everyone's city and state taxes?
I find this SLC bull an affront and a slap in the face to our rights of representation in how our money and taxes are collected and wasted on one corrupt city government.
My2Cents, SLC can give the go ahead since it, SLC, owns the airport. Also, the airport is not being constructed with tax revenue. It is being funded with airport fees.
If you don't use the airport, you aren't paying for the project. The airport is self sufficient in that all airport fees pay for the airport needs. The bonding is only to secure funding for the entire project. The fees will repay the bonds, not your sales tax, property tax or the like.
