Couldn't find a picture of Mr. Combe?

This is a tough choice. Either Ryan Combe or Donna McAleer would make an excellent replacement for Rob Bishop. I sincerely hope voters in this district will pull their heads out of wherever they store them and THINK before they vote.

Bishop is dangerous to America. We need to replace him.

Like it really matters. Either one of them will get rolled by Bishop, as they should. Choosing to be a democrat says enough about them, we don't need to hear any more than that.

Combe downplays the threats to Hill AFB by future Base Closures or defense cuts under Obama Administration. That's unfortunate that a local would-be representative would be so sadly lacking in perspective. Make no mistake, Hill AFB has been under threat during the Clinton years. Remember when Hill was targeted behind the scenes for closure to spare California and Texas? THat was under President Clinton. Do you think for a second that Obama and his Chicago style political machine wouldn't target the most Red Republican base in the nation? So don't be naive, Mr. Combe. It's not a scare tactic. We faced it before and Utah Representatives cannot afford to be complacent. If Hill were closed, it would cause a depression in Utah. I have family who work there and it is important not only to their families but to the nation's defense.

To suggest that the decent people living in the 1st Congressional District who voted for Bishop are mindless robots who didn't think before they elected a man who best represents their beliefs and values speaks poorly of the individual who authored the comment.

By definition those who agree with Rep. Bishop's point of view are in the majority , which is probably why he will get re-elected.

Unfortunately, people in the First District ARE the equivalent of mindless robots -- they vote "R" regardless who is running. I've had the misfortune to live in his district, and know him quite well. As far as he's concerned, the ONLY voices to which he will listen are those on the far, far, right fringes of the political spectrum. Those of us in the mainstream are not truly represented by him.

Bishop is not good for the people of the First District, and not good for the people of Utah. Either Donna McAleer or Ryan Combe would be better than him. That is not intended as an endorsement of either McAleer or Combe; that is an honest comment on the (lack of) qualities of Bishop.

Not living in Bishop's district I'm not that familiar with him as you may be. I will however say that I don't consider people that vote "D" regardless of who is running to be mindless robots. Decent gentle people who believe in one cause or another vote out of sincerity and not stupidity.
