Who would be insane enough to follow this insane leader?
I suppose their agency still allows them to follow him but...wow.
It's social Darwinism. Don't interfere with an enemy when they are self destructing.
Freak!
I bet that application line was quite long.
As if their gene pool weren't already small enough...
Just when I thought "It CAN'T get any nuttier than this"!!! Here we are, so who's the lucky 15 guys? Maybe they'll have to get in the habit of setting appointments to sire said future Jeffs' acolytes.
Religion always comes back to who gets to have sex with whom.
"Religion always comes back to who gets to have sex with whom."
Wow, you learn something new everyday.
How do you enforce this? Seriously!
And yet -- here we are, debating over gay marriage being out of the ordinary...
Personally - it don't get any nutting than this.
Marriage is about L-O-V-E.
And here we see even the ultra-conservative FLDS have turned it into nothing more than the sex act itself.
He's just lonely in prison. Once he decides which guy gets which child he may end up with a whold lot of his pals in there with him.
Is there more than one cult of fundamentalist mormons? I'm asking because that polygamist family featured on "Sister Wives" refers to their religion as fundamentalist mormons .. yet he keeps marrying and keeps having babies and they have never mentioned Warren Jeffs on the show. He did make it clear in a recent show that they are very different from the LDS Mormons.
These people are supposedly Christian. But there is nothing even remotely close to anything this bizarre in recorded Christianity. There is no scriptural basis whatsoever for this practice.
I can't think of anything to more obviously indicate that Jeffs is a false prophet. The Bible says "By their fruits, ye shall know them". Jeff fruits are becoming as nutty as it gets. It was bad enough when sex was forbidden between married couples and children were forbidden from any sports or games. If the remainder of his followers have any common sense left at all, now is the time to indicate it and just get out. It couldn't be any more obvious that God had absolutely nothing to do with such a wrongful edict.
I feel very sorry for the children that would result from such a practice. To have the genetics of parents that unthinking would be sorrowful. To eventually learn you were the result of some off-the-wall human breeding program would be downright depressing and disgusting.
With all my heart, I hope this unverified report turns out to be false. There is absolutely no possible good that could come from it. None!
This is what happens when one is indoctrinated from infancy that their sacred myths are the only absolute truth and they must blindly follow even the most absurd request from their insane "religious" leader. If my religious leader told me that it was an order from God that someone else has to impregnate my wife I would say "see you later, Mr.Crazyman."
Some people need to believe that God has sent them a prophet. That there are men who will take advantage of the meekness of the weak is to be expected. FLDS church members are heirs to a culture they were brought up in. I haven’t walked in their shoes but it’s not hard to see why so many of them remain faithful. It’s the only way they know.
It makes one ill to think that the ladies here, some of them very young, have no say in this. What kind of demented and warped person would do this to his followers.
Warren Jeffs is simply trying to manipulate his followers from prison to see how many of them will 'stay true' to him as he pulls their strings into tangled threads. To him it is a power thing, I believe. The more bizarre his edicts get, the more his 'true' followers are culled from the 'unbelievers.' That leaves only the most loyal (crazy)followers left. First he tests them by taking away the children's toys and banning sex. Now he 'rewards' his 15 most faithful men with sexual favors with any women that are left. When will these people say enough is enough?
15 child abusers. Arrest them and send them to join their leader.
I hope we hear about the koolaid order before its too late ... I'm sure it will be coming eventually.
