Steve, very amusing article. But I'm the public relations manager for American Red Cross Blood Services, let me help you with a couple of things. Another word for nurse-doctor who draws blood is a phlebotomist. Same number of letters but much more accurate. The phlebotomist only took a pint of your blood. You have 10 - 12 pints in your body so "most" of your blood was not removed. You'll be fine. We had some pretty bandages donated just recently by Nexcare, I'll send you one. In spite of these corrections, thanks for the article. The demand for blood is constant. The American Red Cross needs to collect 440 units (pints) every day to serve the 31 Utah hospitals which we supply. And one final comment: Well done! You're a hero! You donation will save a life.
