Miss Piggy,
It is so 'big' of you to defend the indefensible. His lawyers tried it ...and lost. You say "Even a slap on the wrist is excessive. This guy damaged or hurt no one. Not even himself." Clearly he damaged at least two little girls. I have two daughters and I wouldn't want him to be anywhere near them.
You also say "And what about her inamorata with him? Is that sick as well? Maybe they're both sick." That is an interesting assumption to make about Susan Powell. The biggest difference between the two is that Susan is missing, probably dead, Steve Chandry is the smirky man who was just found guilty of "damaging" children.

@Miss Piggie -- Really?! What do you mean "this guy damaged or hurt no one"? What about those two young girls whose privacy he invaded, and who had to experience humiliation in a courtroom?
I hate concurrent sentences! I too agree that this sentence is ridiculously light, especially since he has no remorse for what he did to those two girls. The judge was right though when he called Powell a "creepy neighbor", and said a lot of people would like to see Powell rot in jail. I hate to say it, but I do not think he will ever divulge any information about Susan.
Alina is in so much denial about her "wonderful" father!
I hope the girls he victimized will heal.

@mytymouse09:

"What about those two young girls whose privacy he invaded, and who had to experience humiliation in a courtroom?"

The humiliation was in the court room, caused by the prosecuting attorneys who dragged the girls there and the judge who allowed it. Add to that, the cops who invaded Powell's private home and dragged the photos out into the public.

"I hate concurrent sentences! I too agree that this sentence is ridiculously light, especially since he has no remorse for what he did to those two girls."

He did nothing to the two girls. See comment above.

Had the cops not invaded his home there would have been no knowledge by anyone of anything he might have done. The girls brought no action of damages and had no idea of any photos until the cops made them public.

"I hate to say it, but I do not think he will ever divulge any information about Susan."

How could he divulge anything about her disappearance? He was no where around when she disappeared.

It's appalling the extent to which you and other posters continue to make things up about this case.

"Clearly he damaged at least two little girls."

Could you kindly explain to all of us just how he damaged two little girls. They seemed healthy and happy until they were dragged into court.

"That is an interesting assumption to make about Susan Powell."

It's not an assumption. It was reported in the Deseret News.

"The biggest difference between the two is that Susan is missing, probably dead, Steve Chandry is the smirky man who was just found guilty of 'damaging' children.

It's interesting how you and others try to make Steve Powell guilty of the disappearance of Susan Powell. I think your brain is playing tricks on you... to say the least.

Steven Powell's criminal behavior got him convicted and sent to prison. How can you possibly say his behavior didn't damage him when it got him locked up and earned him a criminal record that will limit his choices for the rest of his life?

Mr. Powell is in prison because he was convicted by a jury of taking lewd pictures of little girls. Susan Powell's name wasn't even mentioned during his trial. The fact that he photoshopped Susan Powell's head onto the nude body of another woman is irrelevant to this case.
