I pray for lots of things, but today, for the first time in a long time, I asked for something for myself. I prayed that my faith be strengthened.

I've been slipping on so many tings. Last night, and then tonight we were supposed to go to the temple, but it was postponed again (for the greater good; my husband is helping in a service project, putting a new roof on a single mother's home) and yesterday, I couldn't even finish the chapter I was reading in Moroni. So I sat down to read it, picking up where I left off...in the middle of Chapter 7, verse 40: "...How is it that ye can attain unto faith, save ye shall have hope?..."

Can you believe so many people think there is no God? My prayer was answered in the time it took to rise from my knees and open my scriptures to the place I marked yesterday with a Post-it pointer.

God knows and loves us all. Have faith in that one thing, and if you can't yet have faith, start with hope.

As I read this article my heart was very touched with the Lord's tender mercies towards this young man. I thought of those earth angels like his stake president and the writer of the article who helped this young man return to the mission field. We sometimes do things, write things, say things that are exactly what one of our brothers/sisters need at that moment. This family will always remember this fine elder and to think that had he not returned, who knows what the outcome would have been for this family. The Lord truly loves his children and is aware of each of us.
