Kami, the police and prosecution aren't about pacifying the Coxes. Justice and punishment are their jobs. Somehow the Powell family got off the rails, and a lot of people paid for it. The son is now where he belongs, and soon the dad is going where he belongs. And the longer, the better.

10 years is an extremely long sentence for this crime. I bet rapists get less time in that State. This whole thing is nothing more than the police and prosecution trying to pacify Susan Powell's parents. Not a one of you knows that he had any info about the disappearance of Susan Powell, yet most of the posters are assuming that. To those who are LDS -- I thought we were taught that vengeance is NOT yours to dish out.

Unfortunately only 10 years is a recommendation likely to be chosen by the judge.

I don't think he will ever really tell the truth about Susan. From the case of the teen killed by classmates in Spanish Fork we see that they don't really come up with the location. Such exchanges of time for information seem to result only in smoke screens.

I feel much sadness and sympathy for Susan's loved ones.

Make a deal for less if he tells where his daughter-in-law is burried.

10 years probably isn't long enough but it should at least get his attention.
