Hopefull he won't let the door hit him as he goes to Nevada. A permanant move can't be too soon. Now we need Clark, Lilinquist, Lee, Stephenson and others to follow.

Just what Nevada needs, a moderate Patrick Henry chairman to unite the G.O.P. Hopefully he will be successful and live there. I hope he can entice Dave Clark and Chris Buttars to join him.

What a nice contrast.

Can't help but think Carl imagines himself as the new Sheiff in town.

I hope he has the same level of success in Nevada that he had in his last political campaign -- NONE. He is an extremist, and that is the last thing we need if we are going to get this country running in the right direction. We need politicians on both sides of the aisle who are willing to work with each other and compromise/agree on moderate legislation instead of legislation on the frings of the political spectrum.

At least Wimmer will be out of Utah politics for a while.

Carl Wimmer is a great man, and I wish him well. We need his wisdom, experience, and vision in Utah.

Our nation's problems have been caused by politicians who are too willing to compromise on Constitutional principles. The Constitution creates a federal government whose responsibilities are specific and very few. Everything else is supposed to be taken care of by the states and communities.

But instead too many politicians have ignored the Constitution and have created programs, laws, and regulations that make the federal government bigger, more expensive, and more intrusive. That's what has caused our nation's fiscal crisis.

Wimmer is not willing to further undermine the Constitution or compromise on Constitutional principles. He knows that a return to the Constitution is the only way to pull our country back from the brink and keep it on a sound footing. If Wimmer is considered an "extremist" for upholding the Constitution, then I think we need a lot MORE such extremists.

Don't stay away too long, Carl.
