John Swallow is a decent person but he is not qualified to run the AG office. He has never led a team of attorneys and his involvement with Obamacare was to act as the liason between the hired law firm and our state AG office. He leans too much on Mark for any status given him and Sadly I think he is a tool for the legislature. Sean Reyes is far more competent and has actually done the strategy work and court room presentation which would benefit our state far more than what John can offer which is very little.

Bad idea, no one man should have this kind of power and control to give business an edge in consumer disputes. Consumer protection department is designed to aid consumer, not defend businesses from consumer fraud.

Consumer rights and laws are administrative function of legislators and our representatives, not the judicial system of police and swat army's. One criminal self centered AG can destroy consumer rights in a heart beat. We cannot allow or trust the opinion of a self centered lawyer and campaign donors. Protecting consumers is not a judicial jurisdiction and this telemarketer must have some terrible complaints or they would not be seeking more controlled and limited access to keep his scams in place.

It is the AG job to be impartial but its clear he is out to create bias and misrepresentation to protect business, not the consumer. It is the AG's job to prosecute these irresponsible business, not protect and serve them.

This is an evil man. He seeks personal power to discriminate and usurp the rights and powers of other branches of government. Separation of powers is a must, and we must show this devil the exit and door to obscurity. One devil in the White House is more evil than one nation should bear without it becoming a local sect following.

It is no surprise to me that Shurtleff is endorsing Swallow. It sounds like more of the same shady policies that were part of the Shurtleff regime.

This is a horrible idea coming from John Swallow. If completed consumer protection would take a back seat to the whims of the AG and his contributors.

Swallow is indeed, VERY WELL qualified to serve as Attorney General, and he is both experienced and trustworthy, as well as a real conservative.

I would have no problem with John Swallow overseeing Consumer Protection, but I am more concerned about possible abuses under others in the future.

I would say Swallow is indeed qualified to pad his pockets
