Can't say enough about what a great job "President Mac" has done. He seemed like such an unlikely pick at first but it was soon clear he'd be super. What a great and generous leader he has been! I don't think he'll manage to slow down, though. Maybe play more golf, President? And welcome to Ron Jarrett! The Choir already knows and loves him.
I will second the comment made by Robb Cundick and equally welcome Bro. Jarrett.
I lived in SLC for a few years and was in the same ward as Mac. We were friends and neighbors for that time...I remember him well. Such a kind, compassionate, gentle man. I know there is something wonderful in his future and wish him well in his next appointment. Job well done Mac.
We wish Brother Jarrett nothing but the best and know he will perform his duties as the Lord would want. Thank you Brother Christensen for your devotion and your example. I know you will be missed but hope you will continue to enjoy good health and strength.
Thanks, Mr. Mac, for your service. You have done an incredible job! Your name seemed to be synonymous with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!I have enjoyed seeing you up close and personal on the choir trip programs on BYUtv. I can't even imagine the hours you have put into this calling! Thanks again!
We on the 'outside' of the Choir see only the smooth running operation before us. And believe me, it is impressive. After learning a bit of the immense amount of work involved in making that serenity happen weekly, I too wish to thank Bro. Christensen for a calling well filled. I can only imagine the intensity and stress involved here. How long did Bro. Christensen serve as the Choir's president? Best of everything to you all involved in the Choir's performances. If I lived in SL, I'm afraid I'd be very tempted to be a Tabernacle Choir Mormon: Records in the Tabernacle Choir Ward , called to "listen" every Sunday from the same seat, etc. Best of everything to the new president and thank you Mr. Mac.
