Look at that face on Powell. I see a man who is finally compelled to face reality. The phrase 'only a face a mother could love' might not even apply here.

Will Powell and his defense come up with more grandiose fabrications? This sad sage at least has some laughable moments.

Seriously,

What does this case have to do with anything in Utah?

Susan Powell of Utah [is still missing],
Josh Powell [the only suspect who lived in Utah but free and never charged bu Utah] is now is dead,
and all the media circus is about a creepy Father-in-Law on crimes comitted 1,000 miles away.

He's probably guilty of HIS crimes,
so why withc-hunt over this, about him regarding Susan?

Like the Judge said, it's irrelavent.

The Deseret News doesn't take a poll before deciding which stories to publish in which sections. Many of us believe that Steven Powell has information which could help her parents give Susan Powell a decent burial. We are also interested in seeing if Mr. Powell will spend time in prison for the despicable behavior he has been accused of.

The judge said information about Susan Powell was irrelevant to the charges he is being tried on. That doesn't mean his behavior towards Susan is irrelevant in the larger picture some of us don't want to see.

Seems to me that the defense is pretty sure of itself, (evidenced by not calling any witnesses) and that the prosecution has done a mediocre job of "proving beyond a shadow of a doubt" that Steven Powell was the one who took the pictures. The Judge disallowing anything to do with Susan Powell is not helping either, and incomprehensible actually, since she was also one of the victims of the alleged crime (voyeurism). I would have liked to have seen the prosecution give Jennifer Graves a chance to say in court, much of what she stated to reporters outside the courtroom.

Given the cursory evidence presented in the courtroom, I wouldn't be surprised to see Steven Powell found "not guilty", or given little more than a slap on the wrist... (14 counts reduced to 2, or time served concurrently) either of which would be terribly disappointing. I admire Chuck Cox's patience. I can't imagine the heartache he and his wife have endured all this time. And yet, still no closure.
