Man hes awesoem
Oops see day see, Well Utes fans or should I just call you BYU haters. That is
more fitting. Bronco is 6 spots above Kyle Whit. How irrelevant was BYU going to
become again? A might pac ten point two coach below an obscure Indy coach? ouch.
Just imagine where the basketball coaching would rank between the two schools?
It is great to see him get some National attention and it is well deserved. BYU
has to be the most difficult place to coach in the country with the missionaries
coming and going all the time and with the honor code limiting who they recruit.
I think KW is a fantastic coach also. He is only one PAC South champion season
from jumping into the top 15 himself.
Well, I'm a big time Cougar basher (in fun--part of the game)-who also
gives him high marks. It would be probably be more fun if he wasn't such a
good coach and good person,(Roger Reid) but he is and that's all there is
John Beck rides again. Go Cougars!
What a credit to the state of Utah to have two head football coaches ranked in
the top 21 nationally.
This state is very fortunate to have 3 great coaches at our 3 major universities
giving our kids a lot of choices and avenues to pursue after high school ball.
I am a Coug, first and foremost, but Bronco, Whittingham, and Anderson are all
the caliber of coach I would want my son to be tutored by. Weber, Snow, and
Dixie are also well run programs.
Whittingham, Mendenhall, and Anderson are very impressive coaches. It's
nice to all three of these programs on the rise. Good luck to all of them in
the upcoming season
I think that Bronco's gray "Band of Brothers" t-shirt completes his
My first question after seeing where Bronco ranked: what about Whittingham? To be honest, I'm not sure that Bronco is a better coach than
Whittingham. But he is the right man for the BYU job. I don't know if
Whittingham could have the kind of success at BYU that Bronco is. But, on the
other hand, maybe Bronco couldn't do as well at Utah as Whittingham has
done. Both are very good coaches, though, and both schools are lucky
to have such men heading their respective programs. It's nice to see them
getting this kind of recognition.
I believe most BYU fans would trade coaches straight across. Actually most BYU
fans would trade places with Utah. Everyone wants to belong to something.
Re: PAC12FanYou can believe whatever you want to believe, but here
in the real world the Sporting News ranked Bronco higher than Kyle as a football
coach. End of story. And, actually BYU fans are just fine thank you
very much. Considering we have a fan base over twice as large as Utah's
and larger than that of 7 of the 12 schools in the PAC and a national brand and
a top 25 finish in 2011, we are OK. Oh, and a consensus #1 ranking and national
championship; can't forget that. Trading coaches and places?
PAC12 Fan, You wish!
"I think that Bronco's gray "Band of Brothers" t-shirt
completes his greatness."I believe that Bronco's excellent
coaching and leadership are beginning to receive national recognition and any
positive attention that brings to BYU will spur petty jealousy from some of our
friends up north.
MacNasty,Relax pardner. You're trying too hard. The coach
rankings are subjective, so it's hardly the end of the story. Your
"consensus #1 ranking and national championship" reference is sooo worn
out. Give it a rest.
I just hope that Bronco's wife "chooses" to wash his "BOB"
t-shirt once in a while? That would be a nice touch.....
McNastySporting News must be the Chosen Word when it comes to
college football coaches.
So Bronco has done more with less huh? I actually think it is the other way
around, and even more so with Gary Anderson. Up until a couple of years ago the
Y had a better overall recruiting class voted on by Rivals, Scout, etc. than the
Utes did, and a lot better than Utah St. As of this morning Bronco had 1 more
overall win than Kyle, a worse overall bowl record, and a lot easier of a
schedule. Also as of this morning, there were 32 players from Utah on NFL
squads, and only 13 from the Y. Utah St had 12 on NFL teams. So judging by those
statistics, I would think that Whit and Anderson both DID more with less. Over
the next few years we will see where each of these programs goes. If the Utes
can handle the Pac 12, the Y independence, and Utah St the Mtn West, then they
will all be in good shape, and the fans of each team can be happy. I think that
the Utes have a better overall ceiling of where they can actually go. I hope the
Y can get into a big conference.
