This is just aweful! The white buffalo is not just sacred to the
Native Americans -- It is sacred to ALL Americans.Once again
showing us that; $$$ is the root of all evil.
@LDS LiberalMoney is not the root of all evil. Stupidity is.
Self-serving, mean spirited behavior are some of the byproducts of stupidity. My heart sank when I learned that the white buffalo had been murdered.
There are people in this world who have gotten into the habit of being mean, and
who choose not to do what is necessary to get out of that habit. And then their
meanness escalates. Who knows what the perpetrator will kill next.
Awful. Very sad.
If you want to own a buffalo, go buy your own and worship it or whatever else
you want, because it belongs to you! Otherwise, this one was private property
and does not belong to the community!
guitarboySouth Jordan, UT@LDS LiberalMoney is not the
root of all evil. Stupidity is. Self-serving, mean spirited behavior are some of
the byproducts of stupidity.==================== This young
buffalo was killed for it’s hide = $$$It had nothing to do with
upsetting Native Americans.Otherwise they would have just killed it, and
left it.Someone was willing to pay BIG $$$ to have that hide, And someone was evil enough to do this, for it.I'll say again
– the love of $$$ is the root of ALL evil.
"I'll say again – the love of $$$ is the root of ALL
evil."Perhaps. But, that's not what you said the first
time. And, if it "had nothing to do with upsetting Native
Americans", then someone will be hard-pressed to make this a hate crime.
Mountain what in the world are you on about? It's as clear as mud...
What a sad event. What a selfish event. My sympathies lie with the Lakota.
Who ever did this should be ashamed.
A very selfish thing to do.
guitarboySouth Jordan, UTLVISSalt Lake City, UT==================== Let me put it to you both another way....If this buffalo was brown -as opposed to white - what do you
suppose it's hid to be worth on the black market? My guess next
to nothing and that buffalo would still be alive.Just like with
drugs and prostitution, The motivation was $$$Money $$$, or
the "love" of money [if you may] -- truely IS the root of of ALL
evil.My prayers go the 1st Nation people. My God bless you for
the wrongs you have already and continue to suffer froms the greed of others....
A co-worker of mine from Missouri said many people have land with hardwood trees
on the land and it isn't unheard of if they take a vacation when they come
back some of their trees will be cut down. They can be sold for a lot of
money. This is probably what has happened here.
Re: "$$$ is the root of all evil."I'd be happy to take
all those evil roots off your hands.
As a card carrying member of the NRA i find this killing deplorable.
Simply ridiculous. Sad to see such stupid, intolerant, and destructive behavior.
I hope the law gets a good hold of whoever did this.
So depressing when a clearly mentally/morally ill human does something like this
to an innocent animal. Nature or nurture or both? I always wonder how we can do
better so there will be less people in the world that have no conscience.
so sad. I remember when that little buffalo was born and somehow it gave us all
hope. Now some cruel, self-serving creep killed it and its parents are both
dead too. Somehow this story seems like a sad dead end. What a loss to the
Lakota tribe. I am so very sorry.
This horrendous crime should definitely be classified as a Hate Crime" The
little buffalo's only crime was that he was born white. Whoever did this
unspeakable thing has no conscience and is,or are subhuman beings. Whoever did
this was skilled with the use of a knife to be able to skin the poor baby and
his mother. I urge everyone to be vigilant and report any suspicous behavior.
They will be caught and with God's help there will be justice for these
poor helpless sweet animals, who did nothing to deserve such a terrible fate. I
only wish we could skin the perpetrators. They may have killed little
Lighntning Medicine Cloud but they did not kill his spirit. He will always be
in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with the Little Soldier family. God
