What this means is that folks in Indiana realized that Lugar's (and HAtch's) style of governing, based on huge deficits and debt was unsustainable and characteristic of a by gone era...an era of big government republicanism. Utah and the nation cannot afford to send back to DC to fix our financial ills, the very guy who helped create the problem with 16 debt ceiling votes totaling more than 7.5 trillion of our national debt. It's time for new energy, ideas, and commitment to fiscal conservative ideals and values. It's time for Orrin to retire.
Too bad there isn't better tea party candidates up against Hatch, McCain, and other compromising rhinos. Then we could throw all the career senators out.
