I remember when my boys were in primary and would sing, "Mother I Love You" and "I Often Go Walking". These songs still bring tears to my eyes almost 30 years later. I think that if children are taught to have a healthy reverence for mothers who try their best, the world would be a much nicer place.
Aside, when my sons would get into mischief, I'd threaten to put them in time out. They'd sing this song (in unison) and I'd dissolve into Jello. They knew just how to get into my tender heart. :)
