The air is dramatically cleaner than it was 30, 40, 50 years ago. If Riverside
has the 2nd dirtiest air in the country we're doing pretty well. It's
rare that we have a day where the smog is apparent. When I was kid, or even in
college, it was rare you didn't see a thick layer of smog in So Cal. I hate smog and I wouldn't live here if it were as bad as it's
made out to be.
Excellent idea! But why limit the website to suspected illegal immigration?
Why not report expired tags, illegal room additions, overdue library books, you
name it? If we're going to have blacklists and secret police
why not report every suspected violation by our neighbors?
Let them blossom as a rose. They are doing it in their own lands, too. It is not okay with me as a US taxpayer to have to fund their illegally gained
water and fertilizer.
@Say NOStick on topic. Whether the way they caluculate these
numbers is the most accurate method or not, they remain the same, as they have
been calculated by the same method for both administrations.By point
was that these Tea Partiers who believe Democrats, and Obama, have been more lax
on immigration is just blatantly false. And seeing as more
individuals are being deported now, than were being deported under Bush and a
Republican controlled Congress, it seems strange that this issue became such a
polarizing issue only after Obama took over.
What about it?
@ Arkad01...What about in the D&C where it says "The
Lamanites shall blossom like a rose in the latter days?"
All part of fulfilling the prophecy to regarding Lehi's children becoming a
"hiss and a byword".
Blacklisting (including this internet list) is wrong because it hurts the
innocent, it subverts justice and using such a method reveals the nastiness and
heartlessness in so many human souls. And if "Say No to BO"
thinks I am wrong, he can go to this website and type in his own name and the
names of all of his children. Does he get it now?
I just got on the website and reported some people; Mickey Mouse, Tony Parker
and Manu Ginobili from the Spurs. Hopefully those guys get deported
williary,Obama himself admits that his high deportation numbers are
misleading. He is counting the people he has "deported" at the border,
people who were captured and held less than 48 hours. Those numbers are bogus
when it comes to the real problem since they never lived in the United
States. You can either turn them back south or process them. Obama boosted
his numbers by processing them. Not that Bush did us any favors, but
let's not pat Obama on the back here.
A step to closing a once open society. Foster the development of a thug caste
among the people, eager to bring intimidation, scrutiny, anger, and possibly
violence against perceived outsiders and other "threats" to the
in-group's metaphorical purity and vitality.See Naomi Wolf, The
End of America, Letters of Warning to a Young Patriot
50,000 more illegal aliens were deported in 2011 than in 2008, Bush's last
year in office. But it's the Democrats who are "lax" on
immigration.Fox News at it's best.LOL
@BrentCouple things. First the Federal Government is doing
it's job. There have been more deportations under the current DEMOCRATIC
President than there were in 8 years under the previous REPUBLICAN
administration. But those facts don't get reported on Fox News.Second, I heard from a friend of a friend that you may be a tax evader,
you've been reported to the IRS. That is all the evidence this
site of "justice" requires. A log in, and an agenda.
Something like this would have been very handy for the German government during
WWII. Based on nothing but fear, prejudice and bigotry.Next we could add a "Suspected Illegal Alien" button on Facebook for
people to select on someones profile. It would have as much accuracy as this
website. You people really don't see anything wrong with this
approach? I don't care how poorly you believe the issue is being dealt
with, starting a blind witch-hunt is the solution? Can you imagine
how offended one of these Tea Party posters would be if their name popped up on
this site! They cry foul, be disgusted that their freedoms were being
questioned by somone based on no evidence. And they would turn around and throw
out the name of the first hispanic person they could think of just to get
even.Such a sad statement about our society.
At last a tool emerges that may help citizens to maintain and protect legal
citizenship without working on futile attempts to get lawmakers and local
council people to establish helplful laws. The article states that
many people say this web site will encourage more discrimination and hostilities
but the real cause lies in the fact that our elected officials continue to allow
the illegal activities while citizens become more frustrated with what they
experience and observe taking place in their communities and workplaces. Some say that much of the reporting will be irresponsible but businesses
can protect themselves merely by signing up for E-verify and individuals can
carry proof of legality like most citizens already do.Kudos to those
in the private sector for establishing a method of combating one of this
country's most serious problems.
I see the new wave of Nazism has arrived. So remember people to be a proper
supporter of the Fatherland you need to spy on your friends and neighbors and
turn in anyone who doesn't conform!
This website simply reflects the resentment LEGAL citizens feel towards the lax
(if any)enforcement of our nations immigration laws.WHAT will it
take to convince law enforcement to enforce all the laws; not just the ones they
agree with?IF law enforcement would do their job, we wouldn't
have this website and we WOULD be using legal citizens tax dollars for legal
citizens, rather than supporting whoever sneaks across the border.
If the activists and church leaders would stop shooting the messenger we might
make some progress here.In August of 1994 Barbara Jordan was reporting to
Congress on behalf of the Clinton immigration reform commission. She said:
"Unlawful immigration is unacceptable. Enforcement measures have not
sufficiently stemmed these movements. Failure to develop more effective
strategies to curb unlawful immigration has blurred distinctions between legal
and illegal immigrants."Fast forward 18 years and 30% of all
foreign-born are here illegally, despite all these amnesty programs and
adjustments. And despite one million green cards issued annually.Pandering and lack of enforcement are not likely to fix that problem. Some of us simply refuse to remain quiet about this travesty. Labeling us
intolerant and bigoted seem a bit counterproductive.
I have been told by an ICE agent that they have been directed to "cool
it" until after the election. So maybe this web site can provide some
information for them when things are "back to normal". Who is worse,
the politicians who want the illegal vote (and the vote of those who support
illegal immigration) or the public who is trying to do something about the
What happened in the Old West when an outlaw evaded justice? A posse was
formed. If the Federal Government won't do its job (because not
apprehending illegals increases Democrats' votes), a "posse" needs
to help. Thanks, posse, for helping to enforce the law. Just make
sure your facts are correct.
What a terrible way to treat your neighbors.
What does Christianity or any religion have to do with this? What does Brigham
Young have to do with today's issues? Religion and past history is
irrelevant. This issue is an ongoing onslaught of people sneaking
into our country and helping themselves to our resources.
Yep - the people claiming to be Christians are checking in to show us how to
treat people. They just don't get it.
Supporting a for-profit, anonymous website (registry hidden in Panama) where you
can report anyone if you don't like the color of their skin, as
"illegal"? Really? Is that what our nation has come to?Remember, when Brigham Young arrived, he led his pilgrims into Mexican
Saw a great sign today:We are illegal aliens. We came to take your
jobs.But you didn't have any.What a silly website.
People should just start entering names from the phone book. If every
"report" has to be investigated, it will overwhelm their resources.
The pro-amnesty crowd is sure quick to condemn this. But what is
their solution to (a) enforcing our laws and (b) identifying people who are
breaking the law by being here illegally?Until they come up with a
better solution, I kind of like this one.The mere fact that people
are opposed to enforcing our laws points out the need to get serious about
enforcing our laws, or abandoning the pretext that ANY laws should be obeyed?
