Reading her messages makes me think of someone who has had enough and is ready to leave. I sometimes would like to get away from it all and move to an isolated beach where no one could find me, not even my father-in-law.
Having been through something similar - it is truly a nightmare. First it is difficult to admit what is happening, and then hard to tell anyone - will they believe you or think you are the one with the problem? Fortunately, I finally had a witness to the irratioonal behavior and decided to save myself, my child and my unborn baby - a very hard time nonetheless, and filed for divorce. My ex-husband did not get help and ultimately died in an accident, which since he would not be get help I have to consider a blessing, inasmuch as, like the Powell situaiton, you never know what will happen. My heart goes out to the family. A sad, sad situation.
Just wondering as I have for the past 2 years why the WV Police didn't take a more active stance and DO SOMETHING. I don't normally like this kind of info in the press on a serial basis but I get the feeling that if it wasn't for the media, we wouldn't know anything about why this all happened. I really feel for the Cox parents/grandparents who have had to stand by and watch their loved ones be slaughtered by a sick husband (whose father is the source of much of this evil).
No question about it.. Josh was a monster.
It appears that the quoted emails are all from 2008 (over a year before Susan Powell disappeared). Are there any available emails that were sent/received in 2009, and especially in the two or three months close to the time of the disappearance? They would give a better picture of what was going on at the time of the disappearance.
This is absolutley appaling thet the WVPD didn't make an arrest. I'm thinking they didn't want to pay for the trial. I wouldn't re elect their mayor or their polic chief. Anybody who does, is being very foolish.
