What is this non profit organization doing with medicare and medicaid information on hundreds of thousands of people? Medicare and Medicaid are federal programs and that is privileged and private only the patient and doctor should know. Why is Utah handing it over to welfare scammers?

It's time for the SSA and federal offices get off their chairs and find out why Utah is violating and breaching the trust of information limited to access by hospitals, doctors, and patients? How can any one contact this organization and have any and all information removed from this organizations database?

It sounds like Utah has a ponzi scheme going to cheat the Medicare and Medicaid of trillion of dollars by faking claims to steal Medicaid and Medicare funds. No oversight, no security, and illegal possession and distribution of privileged information to fund illegal non profit organizations.

Quite a gambit of illegal activity going on in federally funded agency's in this state in health care, welfare, education, UDOT, and UTA that is not getting the attention it should have.

It is hard to believe that the State of Utah and the various health departments knowing the VA and the University of Utah has lost integrity in their health records data over the years, that this type of event could happen. Attacks or by just slipping up will happen, and not preventing this type of failure by implementing methodologies and systems to keep this from happening should be part of the daily regime in all Federal, State and local offices. This is spoon and handfeeding the bad people out there that are just itching for and dreaming about getting this type of information. They may not be the direct beneficiaries but will sell it to someone who are nefarious and cunning. The State of Utah needs to be proactive and look at all databases of this type to ensure some rambo isn't going to ruin a person's life with that sensitive information.

This whole snafu doesn't pass the "smell test".

WHY does the state have health records for 800k people? There can't be 800k people in the state of Utah on medicaid, SCHIP, medicare, etc. can there?

If I take my kids to the Dr. and pay the bill myself does that mean the Dr. REPORTS this to the state? Why?

I've looked at their web site and don't see the answers but I DON'T WANT to take an hour of my time to attend a mtg. to find out what the State Health dept. did wrong and if MY kids (or my)health information gets sent to the state.

We NEED explanation from the State Health Dept. concerning WHO'S health information gets compiled and why.
