Jabari will do very well at Duke. Great school, ACC BB and with an institution that stands for a quality education. If he wants a wife......go to BYU. Some hot Cali blonde will make him proud.

BYU football is sad. They're playing for nothing. It is that simple. They will lose big time against Mike Leech from Wazzu, get crucified by Utah again, Georgia Tech is loaded, ND will win for sure....and on and on.......Let's talk about Utah State......the second best football program in Utah. BYU is ridiculous. Other than Kyle Van Noy, there is no athlete at BYU currently.

I'm glad to hear that Fredette has a new Spalding BB shoe deal.........After his NBA contract expires next year........he'll be headed to eastern Europe. Spalding is popular there. Adam Morrison has been texting Fredette......they are buddies. I hope they broadcast Jimmer playing in Europe on BYUTV? He is the best basketball player that ever walked this earth!

Does any BYU fan think that BYU will win at Utah, Georgia Tech, ND, Wazzu at home, or on the "Smurf turf" at Boise State? I don't prognosticate, but I truly believe that Riley Nelson will have 3-6 turnovers at Utah. How bad will they be and where will they occur?.........the "real question?" Utah is LOADED this year folks and have great coaching.............I cannot wait for 9-15-12. Go Utes!!!!! Then, Utah will tell BYU......."nice knowing you."

Of the five you name, I think BYU will win three of them, including @ Utah. Riley will break Ur heart, but out of that will grow the seeds of hope... for Colorado, WSU and the others that hope to climb out of the cellar on Ur back.

Re: Riverton Cougar

BYU deemed better than Utah at football.

Ha! How much does Utah have to beat BYU by next year for you to say Utah is better?

@ Chris B,

Don't you ever get tired of hating? So what if some fans consider BYU a major b/b or f/b program? Why does that irks you so much? Or why do you even care or feel the need to keep telling us we're never able to recruit any real athletes? Like it or not, BYU is doing just fine with the kind of athletes we attract. If you and the likes of you don't like anything about BYU, may I respectfully ask you to just please go away? I for one am tired of your same old hateful venom. I'd love for you and others like you to try and be nice for a change. Otherwise, please go away and leave us alone.

We WILL see. That is after all why they play the game. See you there! I'll be the old bald guy in the corner with the other old bald guys.

@ Y dad grad, If BYU beats Utah at RES I will buy you dinner at The New Yorker in SLC after the game. I'm not fat or bald, but "old" too! Hahahahahaha! That was some funny stuff......cheers sir!

"If the new playoff structure picks the Top 4 teams and BYU has access, they should stay indy...If the conference champ is picked from the SEC, ACC, Big10 and Big12 - look for each conference to build to 16 teams. BYU will likely get picked up by the Big12. The Big East will be on the outside looking in."

Since MiP already addressed your blatantly biased omission of the Pac-12 amid the Top-4, I'll just skip that frantic and emotional part of your post, and instead address the very ridiculous notion of you obtaining any access to college football's proposed Final-4...

In short...you're not getting access.

As the conference commissioners [plus Notre Dame] discussed this playoff model, conspicuously absent from the negotiating table was BYU. Know that the Big East won't be the ONLY entity "on the outside looking in." You'll be right there behind them, trying to peer over their shoulders to watch the rest of play in the big boy postseason games.

And you're not going to the Big 12. They didn't want you, remember? They said "NO!" Twice!

Interesting prediction. While I'm not one for prognostications either, I will predict that as Nelson runs the first non-WAC/FCS gauntlet of September, Jake Heaps will regret leaving Provo. Nelson will be just as challenged by Washington St, Utah, and Boise St. as Heaps was vs. Texas, Utah, and Utah St. Had Heaps simply opted to be a team player, and accept the bench to start September, Nelson would have struggled early, and Mendenhall would have given HIM the hook just as quickly as he did to Heaps last season. Then Heaps could have played a bunch of WAC teams and deluded himself, his team, his coaches, and his fans into thinking the cougars have finally put it all together, excused their fates as a "hiccup on the road" or a "fluke loss" at Notre Dame and Ga. Tech, and validate that by running up the score vs. the remaining WAC teams on their schedule.

In short, Heaps would have played again had he stayed, rather than running the Scout team at Kansas.
