For the past three years, President Obama has been promising a better economy. But rather than hold the GOP accountable (like he said he would), Obama is deflecting the blame from himself and GOP failed policies. On the eve of Tax Day, I'm sure everyone can agree that the state of the economy is forefront on the minds of voters. Well Mr. GOP, excuses don't pay the mortgage, lower skyrocketing gas prices, or cover the cost of those tax estimates. Americans are worse off than they were 8 years ago, so if Republican's won't hold themself accountable come November, we certainly will. We love the Buffett Rule for the same reason Mitt Romney opposes it. It levels the playing field in America by closing tax loopholes and ensuring that millionaires aren't paying a tax rate that's lower than what many middle-class families are paying. Mitt Romney leads President Obama in 3 new polls ?. Says who, DNews?. Or real poor and middleclass humans that vote also.

Obama will triumph in the end.

I personally, do not know anyone in Carlsbad who wants Mr. Obama back in office. Of course, we are just a bunch of over the hill, beyond the baby boomers and the career students; old hippies and some farmer types who still have a vote! My 90 year old Wyoming cowboy neighbor wouldn't vote for Mr. O if he were offered new legs and a pass to a few of the big parties the Obama reign has offered up on our collective dime. You should hear the old folks opine in our retirement paradise. As of today, nobody has polled us. Maybe they should. After all. We ain't dead yet!

I'm a big Mitt supporter. However, I have to laugh and the survey data/info. included by the DN. After I reading this article and the associated survey's indentified, I came across a CNN/Gallop pull that shows Obama 9 points ahead. I guess it's all in the eyes of the beholder.

Meanwhile a CNN poll released today that shows the President ahead by 9 points isn't mentioned in the article...

"Romney will lose big, probably 15 points, he's just got too much baggage and the incumbent is too strong."

I didn't know that being successful in business and economics was considered "too much baggage" and that if one consistently plans for $1+ trillion deficits, has no budget, and adds about $6 trillion to the national debt in 3 years, then he is considered "too strong".

If this nation chooses Obama over Romney, that is a sure sign of the decline of this great nation. I love America too much to vote for Obama.

Funny how the headline over at CNN.com reads that Obama has a 9 point advantage over Romney, believe who you want to believe. This much is for sure, Romney will win Utah. But Obama will win big!

"I have a brother who lives in North Carolina and personally knows more than a couple people who have already said they plan to stay home on Election Day. They hate Obama, but they'll eat pig swill before they'll vote for a Mormon".

If that is indeed the case then they deserve the pig swill that they will in fact eat.

At least Obama gets to golf every month. Didn't Bush get chastized for golfing like 5 times in a year, where Obama has been vacationing just about every month. Selective memories for a lot of people I guess.

Wait until next week’s polls when more people learn about the GSA scandal, the Fast and furious scandal, the Secret Service prostitution scandal and add that to the Solynda scandal especially when so many investigations are being stonewalled by Obama’s administrators claiming the 5th amendment when asked questions!

I found it interesting how a CNN news anchor went on and on about how CNN was not liberal. It is interesting to see their poll on Romney vs. Obama - see CNN under Politics.

Obama supporters should do their homework and read a few books about the man they praise so highly. I recommend two books: The Roots of Obama's Rage, and the Anti-American President Barack Hussein Obama. Both books actually quote a lot of Obama's own words, remind us of his anti-American mishaps (for example, not showing respect to the flag of our country, and bowing to the leaders of our enemies). Also consider the futures of your children, grandchildren, etc. who will be paying for years to get our country back on track financially, not to mention returning our country to a land of freedom, less government control, respect from other countries, and back to a democracy, not a dictatorship.

The real game hasn't even started yet. It is a little early to be putting money down on either of them. A lot can happen in 6 months.... a lot.

"Mr. Teleprompter" could be Obama; could be Romney; could be any of the General Authorities or many other speakers who use teleprompters. Come on, come up with a better description that makes sense. Teleprompter as a put down is just silly.

I think it's funny to see the Obama loyalists stick doggedly to their talking points. There are a few facts that cannot be overlooked. First, Romney is a rich, supposedly out of touch, Mormon from Massachusetts running against an incumbent President who happens to also be our first African-American President. He's a guy who had a meteoric rise to the top and, at one point, had an approval rating around 70 percent.

On paper, Obama is supposed to win re-election in a landslide. Just a couple of problems though. Unemployment is stuck at over 8% now for the longest period of time since WW II. Gas prices are hurting 'the working class' both driving and in increase food costs. And to top it off, the only thing the President is focused on right now is getting the 'Buffet Rule' passed so he can say taxes are now 'fair.' Everyone knows he has no plan. The fact that he is losing or tied in many polls points to a landslide LOSS for Barack Obama in November. Romeny will be the next president of the United States.

Bill Cosby, today, compared Barack Obama to Sisyphus, the King in Greek Mythology who was forced to keep rolling the stone up the hill only to watch it roll back down again. I think Bill Cosby hit the nail right on the head (only, not for the same reasons that I believe.)

Democratic economic policy parallels perfectly with Greek Mythology. It looks grand and mysterious. It isn't practical and never really happened. In fact, the analogy is pretty accurate in many ways. Liberals see themselves as 'the gods' of Washington bestowing their gifts of wisdom and knowledge on the commoners. They are also deeply flawed like the gods of Greek mythology (see Bill Clinton, the Kennedy's, etc.)

Time for the mythological Obama recovery to end and time to get a real leader who has real experience.

Great, great news. If Republicans sweep this fall, oldsters like myself can look forward to a life without social security or health care. Mortuaries will be picking up bodies at places of employment. I tell ya, I can't wait. Having a Mormon in the White House will more than make up for all of this!

It is truly amazing that after demonstrating time and again he is not up to the job, Obama is this close.

As shocking as it may seem to the press, Mitt can win.

@ Marxist. If the Republicans don’t sweep the elections, you will definitely need your food storage!
