The last several years we have always spent a portion on building our food storage. This year that portion may go to food storage sollutions as we have been able to build up the supply. Also my wife gets to tune the piano with the return every year.
Personally, I think this article failed big time in what people should do and that is to NOT get a tax refund! Adjust your forms so you will get as close to zero as possible. Why on earth should I give the government my money - interest free? We should be in charge of our own money and put it away in our savings accounts and tell it what to do instead of looking at a tax return as some sort of bonus. Most of the 15 ideas listed are good as long as you are debt free and have an emergency fund of 3-6 months in place.
