Hey my bad...simple typo on the score. I meant 69-62 kinda like you meant Boo Ya!! Not Boo Hoo!!! HA!!!!

I liked all the 'reasons' however that you gave. Seemed par for the course. I mean, USU was playing their first game in the post Wesley era and if they play a couple months later and Jardine doesn't really get hurt and if all of Saturn's moons are using the total gravitational pull that sometimes is felt in the SPectrum but not when the calendar says 11/11/11.....

HA!!!! That was funny! Thanks for a good laugh.

As for all the stats, all I have to say is 69-62. (I think I got it right that time!)

    Boo Hoo!!!

Nice try, but the real score on 11-11-11 was 69-62, with BYU playing their first game post Jimmer in the always difficult Spectrum with nine new freshman and Utah State still with their best player, Jardine.

It would have been a far different story if the game has been played a couple of months later in the season.

    Bottom line:

BYU finished 26-9, with a #45 RPI ranking and another NCAA tourney win.
USU is 18-15, with a #143 RPI ranking, not even good enough for an NIT bid.

    Pretty much as expected.

Still, congrats on the good season BYU.

March Madness has just begun, so why are Utah trolls so anxious to switch the subject football?

    Easy answer.

    During the Dave Rose era:

BYU 185-54 (77%), SEVEN 20+ win seasons, 4-6 record in SIX NCAA tournaments
Utah 101-119 (46%), ONE 20+ win season, 0-1 in ONE NCAA tournament

    BYU 11
    Utah 3

including 10 of the last 11 for the Cougars

Utah fans can only fantasize about someday having the kind of season BYU just had...

    in a rebuilding year.

    Go Cougs!

Well we'll always have Iona- wow what a comeback! Boy THAT turned some heads uh? This season may represent the best we can achieve with Coug basketball but I'm okay with that because it's just a game am I right?

Although I cheered for BYU the whole way, this is about the result I expected as a realistic fan. Still, it was not a bad year for a rebuilding year after losing arguably the best player BYU has ever had as well as one of the best defenders BYU has ever had (who wasn't shabby on offense himself). I predict a much improved team next year. Go Cougars!

A top 25 football team, two games in the NCAA tourney, why would BYU fans feel down?

Dennis: You are right, another dismal season for your Utes but don't get down on them. They will be back and as for the bowl, there is always a bowl to look forward too. Good luck.

Another dismal basketball season passed by again with nothing to show for it. but it doesn't matter. Business as usual is pretty common place and accepted by most of society.
I'm guessing the only "bowl" available next year will be the cereal bowl. Eat your Wheaties.

    Otis, Otis, Otis

You need to get out of your mom's basement once in a while. There is no Kraft Fight Hunger Humanitarian Bowl in Boise, Idaho.

Besides, BYU is already booked for the Poinsettia Bowl unless the Cougars play in a BCS bowl.

    byu fans,

No reason to feel down tonight. There is no shame in losing to a better team. Time to switch gears and look forward to competing for a spot in the Kraft Fight Hunger Humanitarian Bowl in Boise, Idaho.

    Very truly yours,

    Uncle Otis
