Merrill Cook announces candidacy for Salt Lake County mayor

    I like Merrill Cook. He has always been on the side of the people. He fought against tax increases, tried to get the food tax removed, and pushed for term limits. The establishment republicans do not like him because he doesn't cower to special interests. His voting record in congress was better than the rest of Utah's delegation.
    I didn't know he was running for County Mayor until I read this article today. I think he would be a great county Mayor.

    I respect and appreciate Merrill Cook for his integrity in standing against the Federal Reserve-backed China sellout and also against the corrupt special interests that want illegal immigration in Utah at the expense of everyone else. Cook certainly makes no friends with these corrupt special interests in the process. But he is what Salt Lake County needs.

    West Valley Mayor Mike Winder was inaccurately identified as a Republican in this report.
