Its about time. I wondered if justice would be done. How can people hit a lady with a boat, know that they did it and then just drive off, when they could have helped her.
This is what the law is all about, now law, go do your thing. Do your job.
I just wish that more harsher charges could be fielded agnist these men for be the cause of her death. I also hope that on all charges they get the maxium pently that they can. I also believe that Utah needs to pass some new laws that in the furture that can be charged for the death of a person can be handle like in a DUI case. My prayers and heart goes out to the family who lost their love one. I also hope that they win their wrongful death suit that they fielded.
They killed her. How can that be a misdemeanor? Why is it not manslaughter- just as if you killed someone while driving a car recklessly it would be manslaughter.
Ok, so now I'm curious. If I kill someone accidentally with say, a hang-glider, would there be only a misdemeanor coming my way? What about a skateboard? Canoe? Scooter? Bicycle? Why would the law apparently only be toughest for culpability in an accidental death if a car/truck is involved?
