    Counter Intelligence:

What a frantic and emotional way of saying that you could NOT cut-&-paste ANY anti-Mormon remarks from either Otis or I, and that moderateinmagna WAS out of line for introducting religion and his own personal persecution complex into a sports thread. And YOU'RE calling ME passive-aggressive? Typical cougar hypocrisy.

How much time do you estimate you spend reading and commenting on BYU sports articles? It seems like A LOT -- especially since you claim not to like them. Weird!

Congratulations of Riley and Cody. You are fun to watch! (One of my favorite moments this past season was Nelson high fiving the official. Too funny).

Also ... super excited for football to start again!

    TrueBlue:

I thought that the 2 main reasons the Y finished ranked was (1) because USC was ineligible for recognition in that poll, and (2) because their overall mid-majorey, WAC-lite schedule afforded them enough wins to offset the fact that they had no real "quality" wins to get their team noticed.

    Snack PAC:

I can assure you that neither Otis nor I are envious that the Utes not a mid-majorey, WAC-ish, never been BCS-Bowling, postseason-inept school that no AQ conference wanted. We're actually quite pleased with our Fiesta and Sugar Bowl trophies, overall postseason record and bowl tie-ins, and current Pac-12 membership.

We're also not jealous that we hadn't lost 7 of the last 10.

Too bad you can't say the same.

Riley and Cody are two of the main reasons BYU was a Top 25 team last season.

And once again, Otis and Vet epitomize the jealous BYU-obsessed Utah trolls. Why don't you to get a life a stop obsessing about a team you pretend isn't even relevant?

"...it seems that all you guys do is go on the d news threads and spout hatred for the mormon church and BYU sports..."

Another strawman. How coug-ish of you. Please cut-&-paste the anti-Mormon comment of Otis or myself from anywhere on this page. Or from ANY page for that matter.

Quit being such a victim. You have not been persecuted. And ESPECIALLY not by me. I happen to BE a Mormon, so drop the weak-kneed, picked-on, martyr complex.

It figures an article about BYU football and the UTES 2 biggest trolls have to open up with smart alec comments both of you need to grow up, I doubt if either of you could even catch a football, it seems that all you guys do is go on the d news threads and spout hatred for the mormon church and BYU sports, very childish

"...I thought only whittingham was capable of taking lower rated recruits and making them into legit players? How come there aren't any ute's mentioned in this article. There are certainly plenty of 2 star recruits on the utah roster."

The Utes don't have as many 2-star athletes on our roster as the cougars do. And, since the Y has more 2-star athletes to go around, and fewer 3- and 4-star athletes to hold down the 1st and 2nd teams, they'll have more opportunity to play, and thus, more will make the prestigious All 2-star team. But fear not. Derrick Shelby was a 2-star, and he's currently in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine. I doubt Nelson will be there next season.

I also doubt either 2-star cougar could have unseated our 1s or 2s at the QB and WR slots, but I'm sure that was a fun factless, frantic and emotional dream for you to fantasize about.

    Otis Spurlock:

Good points, but there are other similarities for those athletes that exemplify cougar football as well. Nobody in the Pac-10, Big 12, BigTen, or Big East wanted them either.

    @otis

Obviously you have no clue about what constitutes talent, not to mention both of these players would be the #1 player at their positions if they played for utah as well.

But I thought only whittingham was capable of taking lower rated recruits and making them into legit players? How come there aren't any ute's mentioned in this article. There are certainly plenty of 2 star recruits on the utah roster.

Congratulations are in order. These two players truly exemplify BYU football. Namely, not much talent, but a lot of heart. Also, I hear their firesides aren't too bad either.
