I had long wondered why a country with such a small population had so many converts who emigrated to the United States and eventually to Salt Lake City and all of the colonies of Deseret. The question was answered for me some years ago when I learned about the early translation of the Book of Mormon into the Danish language â a wonderful example of the power of that book as a missionary tool. Anyone whose ancestry includes Mormon pioneers will be familiar with the Danish saints who were either direct ancestors or married members of their families.
