Economics play a huge role in having strong families. Are the writers supportive of the economic policies of their political party (Republican), or are they willing to oppose their political party on their policies that have rewarded the wealthy and punished the average American family. You can pontificate and moralize all you like, but there are certain realities of policies which have the very consequences of which you complain. Watch the Bill Moyers interview with Jacob Hacker & Paul Pierson on Engineered Inequality. Will your response be political, based on selling products, or a thoughtful recognition that these issues need to be changed by going against the existing power structure? I would like an honest answer.
I agree with Esquire that economics play a huge role in having strong families, but I think the Eyres point is that strong families also play a huge role in economics.

If you are ever in the Washington DC area I would like to meet you because I am very curious as to why someone who is so totally negative on the Mormon culture would choose to live in it.
