The only long term solution to ending domestic violence is for children to be raised in stable loving homes where responsibility and accountability are taught. Two good parents will make a big difference, especially if they are married (to each other!) and commited to the marriage. Any other "solutions" are in the band-aid section.

A great deal of domestic violence occurs between individuals who are married to each other - even when those couples are religious.
