When's the next fund raiser?

No president is ever really on vacation. The nuclear football follows him everywhere. It's even just outside the bathroom.

Well . . . Back to work . . . No Drama Obama who got Osama has to bet back to the business of saving the world and dealing with the mess GW made.

Of course, BHO is always available even when he's on vacation too.

. . . Darn cell phones . . . and that suitcase with the nuclear button.

BHO won't be able to take a real vacation until 2017 . . . When he's writing his memoirs, and the next Democratic administration continues the never-ending job . . . Of cleaning up the ever-accruing damage generated by GW's decisions.

GW's legacy is like toxic waste. The ill effects will be felt for years.

"No president is ever really on vacation"

I think this is very true with the exception of Barack. His level of dis-engagement is stunning even to many Democrats in congress.

I just think it is amazing that the Obamas never go home to Chicago. The Bush's to Texas and Maine, Carter to Georgia, lLBJ to Texas, Kennedy to Massachusetts, Nixon and Reagan to California' but Obama never to Illinois. I guess that is not a real vacation.

Are you really still blaming Bush for everything and saying and believing that Obama has absolutely no responsibility for anything?

With hundreds of decisions to make, every president is going to make some errors. Washington made them, and so did Lincoln. But no president before GWB ever made the catastrophic error of sending troops to war under phony justification, and no, we can't blame German intelligence or Congressional Democrats who backed this blunder. Bush and Cheney still support the disaster to this very day, and so does their party. Please feel free to jump on any Obama error you like, but whatever it is, it doesn't measure up to the incompetence of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Not even close.

Gary O is spot on. Bravo for having the courage to speak the truth.

Those on the right like to forget which president caused the great recession.

History will show kindly on what Obama has been able to do.

Now he can go on his "Back to school" vacation, then his "Halloween" vacation, then his "Thanksgiving" vacation, then his "Christmas" vacation, then his "Winter" vacation, then "President's Day" vacation, etc. And they will each be at least two weeks long. In between, he will criticize the police, congress, the Republicans, refuse to do anything meaningful and then say that the Republicans are the reason nothing is happening in Washington.

It'll be interesting to see how Obama handles ISIS, since our country were the ones who sent them, and Hamas, military weapons through Qatar.

Perhaps GaryO could answer this.

Too funny he's no where near the vacation days Bush took, but yeah, Patriot knows what he's thinking or feeling in his heart all the time?
High schooler, He does go to Hawaii where he was born, Why would anyone vacation in Chicago or Texas and why does one have to "Go home" on vacation? That's just silly.

Your never really on vacation when your the president.
Do any of the usual haters actually believe he can ignore important phone calls, world events or presidential obligations by muting his phone or that he's ever Not available. If so you must be on permanent vacation from reality yourself.

Mark B,

Yep, Hillary, Pelosi, and Reid also signed on.

Dwelling in the past doesn't fix the problem. Wake up!

To those who say that the level of this president is disengaged I strongly ask them what are they looking at? He caught Osama Bin Laden. He got us out of a war that we should not have been in. Unemployment is lower than before he took office. More Americans have health care and the stock market has rebounded to it's highest level ever. If Patriot ever looks at his 401-K it is doing a lot better now.

I then ask what has the GOP done? Shut down the government costing 17 billion in lost revenue. Held huge fund raisers for the rich. Enjoyed the Koch brothers' money. Really nothing that has improved the middle class American family.

Gary O (who claims he is a moderate but has never said one good thing about a Republican)

Still trying to blame Bush huh? Just goes to show all of us that when the current President has not done anything to seperate himself from his predecessor of almost 6 years, we are looking at a failed Presidency. And his defenders still try to hide Obamas incompetency behind Bush. Not working any more pal. Look at the polls.

A little history lesson needed. It was policies that the Clinton administration and the Democrats like Sen. Dodd and Rep. Frank put into place that led to the mortgage meltdown in 2008. Bush was just in the White House then. Had the meltdown happened 4 months later, it would have been Obama in the White House. But of course, everyone trying to defend Obama, who is inept at doing anything, are still trying to pin all his problems on Bush. A true good President would take responsibility and lead, not play golf and point fingers. Especially after 6 years.

I just got to respond. Republicans holding huge fund raisers for the rich????? Really. Are you even aware that it is Obama and the Democrats that are out there every day having fund raisers and milking the rich?? Obama for years now has been wasting tax payer money flying around the country to raise money for Democrats. That's because it is the only thing he is any good at doing. Speaking and raising money. And I think he is a medicore speaker at that.

Usually I am concerned when a President takes lengthy vacations in this case I think it mitigates the decline of the USA.
