One option.

Use our military, and take a week to wipe them out.

None of these ten year routines.

Worf---It worked so well when Bush tried it. We had to hurry up and invade before summer came, didn't want our boys to have to suffer in the heat.

BO’s not up to the task.

Too bad he has projected such an image of weakness and disinterest. Had he not done so, the terrorists would not have been so emboldened and would not have established themselves.

The Bush card is growing old.

Worf -

"Use our military, and take a week to wipe them out."

Really?

That's kind of what GW did in Iraq, isn't it?

He killed 100,000 Iraqis in no time flat.

"Mission Accomplished!"

BTW . . . How did that all that work out?

GaryO,

I wouldn't choose Obama for a relay race.

He'll mess up and lose the race for you, then blame the other runners.

Yeah, and Iraq was only supposed to take a few weeks too. This isn't something simple. It's complex. Don't forget that both these countries have a 3-sided conflict. In Syria there's Assad, ISIS, and the moderate rebel faction. In Iraq there's ISIS, the Kurdish forces, and the Shi'ite majority Iraqi government (as well as the Sunnis that aren't aligned with the radical Sunni group ISIS). There's reports of an attack on a Sunni mosque in Iraq today. It didn't say who was responsible but there's a chance that booting out ISIS will just result in Shi'a militias in Iraq persecuting the Sunnis.

it worked out OK until BO abandoned the gains we made there.

100,000 Iraqia dead. that's a lot, but not as many as the 160,000 dead in Syria under BO's misleadership. 160,000 that need not be dead if BO had not shown weakness every day of his misadministration

Hey Lost in DC –

“ . . . it worked out OK until BO abandoned the gains we made there . . . “

You’re fantasizing again. What “gains?” We didn’t make any “gains.”

GW attacked Iraq as a direct response to 911. But Iraq and Sadaam had NOTHING to do with 911.

All GW succeeded in doing is destabilizing the Middle East for years to come, and succeeded in weakening our national security as a result.

Face it Lost . . . I know how much you “Conservatives” must want to just fantasize your RESPONSIBILITY for this fiasco away.

But the facts remain facts . . . And the fact is that Conservative “leadership” has been dragging down this nation for the last 30 years.

Here is a hint.

Containment of ISIS is not an option and it will not happen.

They are terrorists.

They will need to be destroyed.

barry is so far over his head. he can't make a decision, has not strategy and has exposed himself as a totally incompetent "leader". he really needs to go back to hanging community bulletins on telephone poles. Six years is enough.

@GaryO

The 100,000 dead Iraqi is simply a false and misleading number.

The US military did not kill all those, otherwise ISSA would not exist.

The fact is radicsl islamic extremists did most of the killing, and US military had their hands tied with rules of engagement.

Perhaps if the liberals let US military actually fight as they able to it would actually only take 10 days.

Hey “The Greater Truth” -

“The 100,000 dead Iraqi is simply a false and misleading number.”

The fact remains that if GW had not launched his unprovoked war on Iraq, those people would not have been killed in GW’s war, would they?

Iraq was STABLE under Sadaam Hussein.

Iraq is now extremely UNSTABLE, to our great disadvantage . . . Courtesy of GW Bush and his ridiculous meddling.

“Perhaps if the liberals let US military actually fight as they able to it would actually only take 10 days.”

“If the liberals let the US military actually fight,” the United States would be gone, annihilated in a Nuclear war years ago.

And “If the liberals let the US military actually fight,” in Iraq, we would still be there in force, with losses in the high tens of thousands, wasting trillions, and an international pariah, hated by the sane societies of the world.

Face it, American “Conservatives” are this nation’s enemy number ONE.

The difficulty is that the president is not facing the tough decisions. He seems to think that if the US shrinks from international leadership, the vacuum will not be filled by anyone. In reality, Putin, jihadists and China are already dictating the course of international events. HIs neo-isolationist mentality is leading to world chaos. The president's policies have resulted in the US being neither feared or loved.

Between golf games with the liberal "rich and famous" maybe BHO can confer with his NSA
Team and the military and come up with a plan for the next 24 months. At the present time we have the best leadership votes money can by.

Obama has a great reluctance to kill terrorists who are Moslems, although he feels compelled to do it occasionally for political reasons. He had to make a show of killing Bin Laden and a few others in Al Qaeda, but he has no problems in dealing with the Taliban with whom we supposedly have been at war for 12 years. He is prepared to return Afghanistan to them. Generally, his policy has been to support the Islamic extremists in Libya, Egypt, Gaza and Syria. Now, ISIS, which is mostly based in Syria, has become such a problem because of that gruesome video of our journalist being beheaded that he might have to take some action against them. Remember, only a year or so ago, Obama belittled the significance of ISIS. Obama either does not know, or does not care, that the ideology which motivates ISIS is the very same ideology which motivates Al Qaeda, Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Islamic Republic of Iran and many other Moslem supremacist groups. That is the ideology of jihad (War against non-Moslems) which is taught and preached in every mosque in the world because that is what Allah in the Koran commands.

@GaryO

And while Obama plays golf,

the world is on fire.

from americans being murdered in the middle east,

to the dangerous and open borders of our border with mexico being worse than ever (with Obama following the roman policy of allowing any barbarian citizenship to buy more democrat votes, that worked well for rome yeah?)

from russia in the Ukraine, to radical islam emboldened and sweeping the middle east,

what liberal policy of the last 7 years is working?

American “Conservatives” are this nation’s enemy number ONE? To who? The extreme left implementing their ideology and fundamentally changing America, but certainly not the America that the founding father started.

"That is the ideology of jihad (War against non-Moslems) which is taught and preached in every mosque in the world because that is what Allah in the Koran commands."

That is funny. Are you sure? How do you know? I live in Saudi Arabia. About 10 years ago when Al Qaeda in the Arabian peninsula was trying to get a start they made some terrorist attacks against ex-pats, people like me. They cut off a few heads, attacked places where Westerners congregated.

A Saudi friend pulled me aside and said, "Last night my wife and I sat our children down and said that it is not our religion to kill people who have come to help us." Others told me, "You are under our protection. If anything happens to you the shame will be on us."

Whoever told you that was wrong and I would advise you to never listen to that person again.

teka..............
i hate to tell you but the saudi government aren't friends of the US. most of the 9-11 murderers were from saudi arabia and they continue to fund world wide terrorism.

"Iraq was STABLE under Sadaam Hussein.

Iraq is now extremely UNSTABLE, to our great disadvantage . . . Courtesy of GW Bush and his ridiculous meddling."

Germany was stable in 1939 when France and the UK started their "meddling" and declared war on Germany.

While Iraq itself may have been stable, the Middle East was not. Hussein was not exactly the most benevolent leader.

"Face it, American “Conservatives” are this nation’s enemy number ONE."

I suppose conservatives must be enemy number one to Obama's vision of America, but of the free United States of America, beloved country of the last century and of which I am a proud citizen, conservatives are an ALLY. It's a sad day when liberals are more concerned with their domestic political foes than they are to real terrorist threats.
