Why don't they send some of those folks who were advising us to get into this quagmire, like cheney, rummy (I don't know where a trillion dollars are) or even Bush who could be counted on to mention 911 and Iraq together, even if he was aloof about any actual connections.

Yeah, I think they should be over there, maybe we could enlist those radio guys who talk tough but have never fought for their country, they can sell fear and propaganda that would make goebbels proud.

Obama has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in the war against terrorists. There are more terrorists and jihadists today than ever and they are stronger and more effective, thanks to B.O. Liberals know the cost of everything about war but the value of NOTHING as we are seeing! Wait until these jihadist knock down their doors which not only have they vowed to do but are more able to do it than ever before. When (not if) they hit us again, remember Obama!

Why is that when Bush sent military advisors to foreign countries there was instantaneous outrage from the left and yet....

when Obama sends military forces there is applause from the left.

Why is that?

That is an honest question and deserves an honest answer.

Any Obama-fan want to try and answer that?

Just read Happy Valley Heretic to see how the left is going to handle the fact that their guy Obama is doing this. It is going to be the same old song of "Blame it all on the right wing and Bush". Funny thing is, Obama continues to say he will not send in ground troups. "Advisors". If one is old enough to remember how Vietnam got started, it began with Presidents Kennedy/Johnson sending in advisors. And what if some of the thousand Americans there are either captured or killed? Will Obama run from the fight as if it was Mogodishu Somalia (Blackhawk Down) or will he engage? Either way, Obama will be in a situation that he and his supporters believed would never happen. In other words, he will be in Bushs' position of having to take the fight to the enemy, or run for the isolationist hills and play ostrich. Anyone who aspires to be President should realize that virtually every President has had to employ the military in hostle actions. Even though they likely did not want too. That is part of the job description.

Would you prefer an Islamic State and what that means in the future or would helping Iraq and the Kurds with weapons and supplies be a good investment. I think the Chinese and Russians helped Viet Nam and it worked and they sent no troops. In the meantime who is supplying the Islamic State. It doesn't seem to be Russia or Iran and it isn't us so who is it?

Having been in Vietnam and seeing how we went from Advisers to more involvement in President Kennedy's and Johnson's time and processes, this sounds very similar to their thought processes of the time. President Obama's idol is one of those Presidents. The way we left Iraq was a Hollywood type of production not departing with a plan. These people have been fighting for 1000's of years, even within families and sacred religious based wars. DNA cannot change overnight and even Abraham was told to avoid some of that environment for the protection of his own family, even though there were some familial ties.

We didn't win in Vietnam and our President at the time was a disgrace to our country with his integrity and moral issues as he departed the scene. His replacement wasn't completely ready for that assignment and gave rise to President Carter's inept Department of State for 4 years when Iran grabbed our people as hostages. The similar trend of Vietnam and now Iraq are coming to light. Our country should be run as a nation and not political parties having one big party not be on the golf course campaigning.

That's right "Mission Accomplished" I forgot that Bush and his merry looters finished this up clean and simple.

@Sfan doing what? Obama hasn't started any more wars, much to the rights dismay, and their # one supporter the Military Industrial Complex which has profited obscenely on the Iraq war of aggression.

So when did you serve, since you know the actual cost of war? Yeah, that's what I thought.

Awe yes more money for the above mentioned supporters of war, endless war is great for profit.
